Great pizza in Vieux Quebec - Edit
Polina has a couple of pizzas that can be veganized by substituting vegan cheeze for the traditional pizza cheeses.

Pizza with vegan cheese option - Edit
Stopped at Polina for lunch and had La Trapanese pizza with vegan cheese. It was quite good. It’s a great option while in Quebec City! I believe you could also get spaghetti with vegan cheese.

Needed lunch after touring the Citadel and this was close by. Nice location, with windows open to the street. I had the plain 10" with house tomato sauce and upgraded to vegan cheese. That was $16 plus $4 for the cheese, which is about what I expected for lunch in a touristy area. Crust and sauce were good, cheese was very melted and tasty. And I was full and ready for more sightseeing!

The whole family tried this place and were all pleased. The staff is knowledgeable and if they didn’t know they went and asked. The menu states can be made vegan. My wife had the trapanese pizza with vegan cheese and loved it, I tried it and it was very tasty. My wife want everyone to know the vegan cheese is « outstanding « The staff is extremely friendly as well. We would definitely eat here again if in Quebec

Best vegan pizza I've had - Edit
We went here last night, and I got the Margarita pizza. I've been vegan for 11 years, and it was genuinely the best vegan pizza I've had. The "cheese" was incredible! I had to double check to make sure it was vegan. My husband, who is vegetarian, had regular cheese on his pizza, so I can confirm they do look noticeably different. We also shared a Mediterraneo salad without the feta, which was good!

The waitress was very knowledgable when I explained I was vegan. I initially thought that I would get the 'Spaghetti alla napoletana'-- it didn't have the vegetarian symbol next to it, but I figured they just forgot. Nope!! She said they use beef broth in that sauce, which is so random. She indicated the regular pizza crust is vegan, and the menu indicates that the gf crust is also vegan, which she confirmed. I normally go for pasta over pizza because so many pizzas are just not well done in my opinion, but again this one was exceptional. I think they've changed the cheese, as it looked a lot better than one of the older photos on here! I've attached a photo for reference. Overall, would highly recommend.

For future reference, beef broth in sauce isn't random, it's pretty common. Always ask because a lot of places don't think of broth as 'meat' so will say it's veg. (My family had an Italian restaurant and my dad never accepted that broth counted as an animal product).

They offer vegan… but for an arm and a leg! - Edit
Truthfully… not the best pizza. Most weren’t even vegetarian. We ordered the Margherita pizza, minus the bocconcini 3$ for the vegan crust 4$ for the vegan cheese. In the end, it was a mediocre 30$ pizza.

Egg in pizza crust!??! - Edit
We were charged $4 per pizza for “vegan” crust (gluten free and only available on a small pizza) because the regular crust is “made with egg”, according to the waiter. Seems absurd. Another $3 per pizza for vegan cheese. Hence $7 more per vegan pizza. And who ever heard of pizza crust made with egg? While needlessly overpriced, the food was ok. But we were also told we had to order pizzas off the menu and couldn’t customize. We asked for wild mushrooms, they said ok, but they didn’t add them.

Very clearly stated I am vegan when taking our order. Asked for vegan pizza options then checked 3 times that it would be vegan with vegan cheese. Pizza arrived and I checked with 2 separate members of staff if it was vegan. They both assured me it was. I ate one bite and could tell it was in fact not vegan (mozzarella) Sent it back and they replaced with the correct vegan pizza. It was a nice enough pizza when I eventually got the right one. Make sure you are very clear if you go here for a vegan pizza. I wouldn’t return.

So the food and service was good but they should let you know of the extra costs. If they had I would have still eaten there but I wouldn’t have ordered two pizzas. in order to get a vegan pizza you have to get a gluten free crust that only comes in the smallest size. Gluten free is an extra $3 each pizza. Vegan cheese is 5$ more each pizza. So make sure you add 8$ onto the cost of any vegan pizza. We got two pizzas and a glass of wine and the bill was over 70$. It’s good but prepared.

The pizza was tasty but ridiculously overpriced. $35 plus tip for a 10" pizza. The vegan cheese was an extra $5 and the gluten free base an extra $3 as they did not know if their regular base was vegan or not. The vegan cheese was really yummy though. The crust was ok, defintely over cooked.
