Wholesome option for a good price 👍 - Edit
Very pleasant surprise I must say. After discovering Poke Bistro and learning that they are affiliated with Regal Burger franchise (one of the few now in Bratislava that does not offer anything vegan), my expectations were very low to say the least 🤷♂️
Read moreHowever, after first tasting their vegan poke, I was hooked and ended up ordering from Poke Bistro often during the COVID pandemic/lockdown. Poke is nicely and thoughtfully put together, ingredients are combined spot on, and everything is tied together perfectly with the tahini sauce and especially their dukkah which I started making at home after tasting it in their poke for the first time ❤
Miso soup is also very tasty, flavor is rich yet not too salty and the gyoza dumplings are a nice touch. Only thing I would point out is that they are steamed for the soup, and pan frying them instead might add a nice textural contrast to the soup.
Combine all this with a great price (5.90 for this treat is a steal), more than solid portion size (rarely can I eat soup and the poke in one sitting), and the fact that they have multiple locations and also offer delivery, and you have the ultimate 'package' - healthy, wholesome, economical, and yet super rewarding meal- that you can enjoy each day every day.
Rarely in my life was I so happy for being so wrong in my assumptions, and I am trying to compensate Poke Bistro by being a loyal customer 😍
