Incredibly tasty home cooked food, extremely affordable. Koshari is always a favourite of mine and this was very nice, but the highlight was the aubergine "kebab" which had an incredible depth of flavour.

I had a lovely meal at this eatery. The owner was very friendly and chatted to me while I ate. I had the lentil soup and some fava bean dip with a falafel. It was cheap and tasty.

Loved the food here. I tried the koshari which was great. My non vegan friend tried the falafel wrap and loved it too. The koshari, wrap, and two drinks was only $15AUD - such good value for money.

A Plant Based Restaurant in a Meat Based City - Edit
Was so happy to find this Egyptian restaurant in Istanbul. Had the lentil soup and koshary (my favorite) and both were delicious.

First, a huge THANK YOU to the owner who cooked for us after business hours, just because it was late and there were no other vegan options to be found in the vicinity at that time of the day. The best welcome we could have got after our arrival to Istanbul!

I definitely do not recommend koshari, the traditional Egyptian dish, as it was just rice, pasta, lentils and chickpeas piled up in a bowl and covered with tomato sauce. No flavour whatsoever. The tasting plate for two was actually more of a single size, and the soup was quite bland, too.
Prices were very reasonable though, and the owner offered us some great mango juice for free.

I only know one other place (in Berlin) to compare vegan Koshari to. Compared to this, it unfortunately really lacked flavor.

Read moreThe food here is some of the cheapest vegan food you can get in the area. Hence the confusion some people get after seeing all the stars. It’s not bad. Portions are generous. But it’s not that good either.

I ordered the mezze sampler platter as I wanted to try a lot of things. I also ordered two falafel. Everything tasted good with the baba ghanoush probably being my favorite. I did find that the pita bread was not as fresh as it could have been, but, nevertheless, still a good meal.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They speak English. The food came quick and it was DELICIOUS! Also has a lovely milk drink that tasted like and ice cream milkshake. Really recommend. The price was very cheap too!

Alright dining experience. We arrived a bit before closing time and it may have affected our dining as soup was a bit too cold. We had the mezze option for two, accommodated for three people, and it was more than enough for us. The rice mix lacked a little taste, but many of the dips was very yummy. Their homemade lemonade was AMAZING though.
