New veganized place!

Planeta is cafeteria located in a small, non-commercial cinema "Skalvija". It is kind of soviet and some vintage style combination. It is a second totally vegan cafe in Vilnius – they started to sell vegan snacks just recently. Before it was quite poor choice in general. Now you can enjoy (V) cupcakes, sandwiches, etc. It is pretty budget place and maybe don't expect something wow but I recommend to visit this cute cafeteria – it has it's charm.

Pros: vegan!, good service

Soviet style 100% vegan cafe

Planeta is the place where old Soviet times meet new vegan trend. Delicious muffins, wide variety of teas, tasty sandwiches and pies... Of course, everything is vegan!

Scrumptious Muffins & Great Atmosphere

In Planeta, I ate one of the best vegan chocolate cupcakes I've ever had. And the sandwiches (with proper, melting vegan cheese!) are DELICIOUS. I also love the general idea of a cafe inside a cinema - perfect for a date (you don't need to go anywhere else, just watch a film and discuss it in the cinema cafe afterwards over a cup of great coffee) and even for a lonely cup of tea when you're not watching films but still want to enjoy the peculiar mood and the surroundings.

Pros: Atmosphere, view & background music, Location, Delicious snacks (sandwiches, cupcakes)

Cons: Not too much space

Vegan hapiness

This place turned fully vegan recently!! The cafe is in a cinema which is in an old and soviet styled building. The atmosphere is really authentic and it's always a great happiness to choose whatever you want from the menu!

Pros: location, delicious food, atmosphere

Great food and wonderful interior

This place has recently turned vegan but they're bringing it on! A variety of sandwiches, cupcakes and hot beverages with soy and almond milk. And their interior is something worth seeing as it is authentic soviet style.

Soviet Style Cafeteria in the Movie Theater

It's amazing to see a place like this going vegan. They offer amazing sandwiches and mouthwatering cupcakes. The staff is very friendly and nice. The place has a soviet vibe due to the interior so that adds something special to it . Really a must if you are visiting Vilnius. Plus, you can go see an old movie there.

Pros: Vegan cupcakes. Do I need to say more?

Vegan snack cafe in the cinema

I rate five stars because it is first cafeteria in the cinema who went totally vegan. Thanks for efforts and keep it up!

Pros: all vegan, centrally located

Snack Cafeteria

Skalvija is probably my favourite cinema in Vilnius and cafeteria Planeta is located right in it. Being vegetarian and tended to vegan I was very glad to get to know this cafe went vegan. I only recommend you not to expect to get there proper food because it is a smal snack bar.

Pros: all vegan, centrally located

All Vegan!

Tiny snack bar in the centre located in a small movie theatre. Old fashioned interior is quite different from what you can find elsewhere. Snacks all vegan. I recommend sandwich or cupcake with a nice cup of tea (or coffee with plant milk by default).

Pros: all vegan, centrally located

Cons: little choice

A unique, entirely vegan place

An entirely vegan cafe in an old cinema is a unique place to spend your afternoon. Old fashioned interior makes you feel like you are staring in a movie yourself.

They have a variety of cupcakes and sandwiches on offer.

If you're a tourist, the location is also great as it is close to the city centre and you can also take a walk along river Neris.

Pros: Perfect for ordering snacks, It's in an old cinema - so hipster

Everything's vegan!

A small cafeteria in a cinema's building where you can relax with tasty cupcakes and a cup of coffee. If you need something more serious to eat, grab a sandwich with sundried tomatoes!

Pros: only vegan options, friendly staff

Cons: small space, lack of variety of foods

Vegan cafeteria in the cinema

It's a small cafeteria in old, soviet cinema, the surrounding is left quite soviet. It is not a restaurant, but more snack bar or coffee shop. I came only to grab coffee with soya milk and Lithuanian dessert "Tinginys" (it means "Lazyman"). I wouldn't say it's a must place to visit but if you're there it could be nice to go, especially could be exotic for foreigners from rich countries..

Pros: all vegan!!!, non-standard surrounding

Limited menu / Tasty

This is really just a quick snack / wrap place with a limited menu. I was looking for more of a sit down lunch, so I just bought a strawberry drink and chocolate peanut butter cupcake here.
Both were pretty tasty.

A great place to grab some snacks

I've been eating a sandwich and chocolate muffin with cherry filling there and it was soooo good! Very simple interior and nice staff. As far as I remember they have some very tasty drinks, you would definitely find something for your taste.
And the most exciting thing is that they're fully vegan!

Pros: Fully vegan, Desserts, Simple interior

Cons: Snacks options

Best all-vegan place in town

This is by far my most favorite vegan place in town and I have definitely tried out everything on the menu. And the menu is quite big. You can find fulfilling smoothies (cherry-chocolate is my fave) sweet or sour crepes, sandwiches, pasta, salad, soup and delicious sweets the best of which is so called "Napoleonas" - soo out of this world!

The interior is quite unusual and gives strange sovietic but yet cozy vibes; best thing about it - big windows facing the street. It is a perfect place for quick breakfast/lunch/dinner, lonesome work-stuff or a long talk over a cup of coffee:)

Pros: creative menu, taaaasty, Wi-fi

Cons: a bit pricy

Dreadful

Unfortunately HappyCow doesn't allow us to give a place a single star. Apparenly because we are vegan we have to accept worse service just because it's vegan.

We actually never got to eat here. However, as the 'service' was non-existant, we had to write a review about this place.

We had walked all the way up here especially to try out this place. It's not near to the centre so we were hoping for a good meal. Unfortunately we were disappointed.

First, the entrance to this place is horrid. There seems to be an entrance to a cinema halfway in the restaurant, and the cinema crowd gather inside the restuarant, sitting on all the chairs without eating, and taking up any space.

We arrived here and no-one was in the restaurant. We asked the people around and they all said that 'there should be someone there', so we pressed on the bell a few times. No-one ever came. So we sat down and waited for a while. In the meantime, some local vegans came in and tried the same thing, pressing the bell even harder. Still no-one came. We waited for about an hour and no-one bothered to come down, despite the sign saying that they were open at the time.

Ridiculous way to run a restaurant. What a joke. Nevertheless, the place was a horrible place invaded by cinema goers who weren't even eating in the restuarant. A complete joke.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: No service, No staff, Invaded by non-eaters

Place has obviously changed

To keep it short and simple:

* A very nice location
* Unfriendly staff - all vegan options were unavailable
* The „ginger tea“ my girlfriend ordered was hot water and a big splash of ginger syrup.

I strongly recommend removing the vegan label from this restaurant.
