Wonderful Vegan Restaurant - Edit
This restaurant deserves lots of customers! Besides fabulous food, the staff was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere and environment were very special - Pandora's box with an emphasis on natural elements. I can see why they won an interior design award with a large tree in the middle of the restaurant, instruments decorated with flowers and vines and more.
Read moreMy husband, who is not vegan but is always game, shared the hummus and bread which was fantastic. I make my own hummus so I set a pretty high bar but the presentation and flavor were fantastic and the bread soft, light and yummy.
We also shared a salad that had a lovely dressing and then I had Pasta Portabella for my main sans the vegan ricotta. I'm one of those rare vegans who didn't like cheese (or butter or heavy cream or mayo...) before I became vegan so I don't like vegan versions either. This mushroom dish was simple but very delicious; I appreciated the umami flavor which was helped by a bit of soy sauce. (As a plant-based cook, I can't help noticing these things!)
My husband had the gnocchi which he deemed "pretty good"--vegan cheese isn't quite there for him yet.
I ordered the lemon cake for take away and had it for breakfast the next day. It was decadently delicious, with a just the right amount of raspberry sauce drizzled over the top.

Cons: Could branch out - have 3 pasta/grain meals

Me and my non vegan partner ate here while visiting Split and were so impressed, he said it was the best food he’d had on our whole holiday! The menu was creative and varied, super colourful delicious food - we shared a polenta appetiser, then the sliders (tofu burger) and crispy tempeh mains, then I had a lemon cake dessert. The cocktails were also beautifully presented and delicious. The inside seating was cool and the decor was one of our favourite things about it - really unique and fresh feeling on a hot day! Really can’t fault this place and highly recommend it to anyone visiting split.

I loved the decor of this gorgeous restaurant on Split’s Old Town - tree trunks and branches make you feel like you’re eating in an enchanted forest! So much to choose from on this creative menus… I went for tofu sliders and my husband had the grilled vegetable salad.

Fully vegan, creative cooking in Split - Edit
The whole menu is plant-based, so you can just order without asking anything. Risotto with zucchini and citrus feta cream was incredible, crispy tempeh with polenta crust, carrot-miso puree and wasabi aioli was super tasty. Desserts were just as good: chocolate brownie with berry compote and vanilla cashew cream, and a lemon bar with raspberry sauce and coconut cream. Portions look small at first but fill you up no problem.

Probably the best restaurant in Split - Edit
First of all, it feels like a little sanctuary in the middle of the busy Old Town. The service was incredible, and the food was amazing. I had the Portobello pasta, and it was absolutely delicious 😍

We received a great welcome at this vegan restaurant in the heart of the old town. We sat outside enjoying the seventies/eighties music (our era - not too loud for conversation). Helpful waitress, great historic setting and most importantly delicious food.
