What a lovely space!They have a QR code menu which is in English and Spanish or the lovey owner will help with what to choose. So many teas to choose from , also coffees. We had a vegetable toast which was tasty & I had a raw vegan cheesecake- delicious and not too sweet.

We only stopped here right before closing time but the friendly owners still let us in to pick a cake to go. Not everything was vegan but all three different cakes we tried were amazing. The vegan version with pear and sesame was really tasty and something special compared to more standard vegan cakes. The atmosphere of the café is also really nice and soothing. I will definitely come back here!

El sitio es precioso, cuidadísimo hasta el más mínimo detalle. Fuimos a probar tés, y una pasada. Luego nos estuvo ella explicando cosas sobre la cultura del té y fue muy muy interesante. Hacen todo con mucho mimo. Compramos dos infusiones, hechas por ellos mismos. Volveremos a probar la comida seguro, y a disfrutar de más veladas así de placenteras!

Read moreToda la mañana sabiendo que tenía que cocinar pero eran las 14:30 y no había ni comprado. Así que miré Happycow, vi este sitio y fui.
Al leer todo eso del té no tenía claro qué me iba a encontrar, pero lo que me encontré fue genial.
Iba para comer algo rápido y seguir currando, un trámite y la experiencia se convirtió en un viaje culinario maravilloso.
Una atención exquisita, una comida deliciosa.... No es 100% vegano, pero casi. A pesar de ello no se etiquetan de ninguna forma, lo que me parece un acierto.
La calidad-precio, junto a la atención, de lo mejor que he probado en Gijón.

He vuelto a comer al Okaeri, he releído mi opinión y me he dado cuenta de que me había quedado corto. Por eso actualizo mi reseña.
No recuerdo haber comido tan bien en mucho tiempo.
La atención sublime, el ambiente super agradable, la comida deliciosa con todo tipo de atenciones para veganos, intolerancias... incluso con atenciones yendo con una embarazada.
No había probado la tarta de manzana y, si eres vegano y estás leyendo esto, solo por esa tarta deberías ir. Puro arte.

Ahora que por fin parece que el nuevo invitado en forma de virus quiere coger la puerta he aprovechado para volver por aquí.
Como cada vez que vuelvo me gusta más vuelvo a actualizar la reseña.
Fui con dos no-vegetas, de los que van con miedo a un sitio así, y salieron dando palmas con las orejas.
Genial, como siempre.

Fuimos 4 personas, una vegana, un vegetariano y dos omnis. Salimos todos impresionados con la maravillosa comida que nos sirvieron: croquetas perfectas, rissotto delicioso y espagetis de boniato con salsa de nueces. De postre tartas de “queso” con chocolate y fresa. Impresionante, volvere a Gijon solo por comer aqui de nuevo 🥰

We found this restaurant looking for a place to eat something fresh and tasty. What we tried exceeded our expectations. different textures, fresh combinations ... the chef is exceptional and they are specialists in quality tea. The waiter explained their daily specials and their philosophy so carefully. It was great to eat in such a special place so close to the main beach of Gijón. Their cakes are delicious and they always have some gluten free option. Unbeatable value for money with optimum quality and service.

We originally went there for a quick breakfast before a hike. It turned into a brunch as we felt so comfortable and tempted by all the options on the menu. The soft-spoken waitress was very friendly and explained the different teas and coffees. I tried the V60 specialty coffee from Rwanda (Ineffable coffee roasters) - pricey yet extremely tasty!!
Read moreI also had a fresh tomato salad with caramelised onion and fennel. A great choice. My partner's toasts were also delicious, with fresh tomato (a bit like a bruschetta) and homemade marmelade.
In the end we also had dessert. My vegan apricot tart was delicious. It was a bit expensive but definitely worth it.

Fui por casualidad y me encantó. Tiene una carta variada y muy elaborada. Olvídate de los típicos platos veganos, aquí puedes disfrutar de una comida elaborada y con una calidad esquisita. Cuidan todos los detalles! Los postres veganos buenísimos. No es la cantidad que suele comerse en Asturias, pero puedes comer muy muy bien por un precio muy razonable. El servicio increíble! Para repetir pronto.
