Really good fries and burgers. We also loved the betterballs and chicky tenders.
Read moreI expected more of the stew though, it’s not really worth the money; rather small portion and I expected more flavour.
I recommend the Oh!Ma’s Stack as dessert (for 2 or 3) it you don’t know what to choose and want to have something super sweet (it’s also heavy but delicious)
For a five star review, they would either need to make it all cheaper, or make it all really excellent.

Best Vegan place in Ghent - Edit
This was the best vegan place I’ve been in a very long time. The atmosphere and service were impeccable and the food was made exceptional out of this world. We had the cheese balls we had the chicken wings we had a fries with sauce and also the fries with Stoofvlees.

Gezellige zaak met vriendelijke bediening - Edit
Mijn vriendin en ik aten beiden het Oh!Ma'tje. Het viel een beetje tegen. Het is vooral veel frites, met maar een paar snacks. Dan is de €16,9 die je ervoor betaalt, toch wat aan de hoge kant. Ook betaal je €5,8 voor een klein glas Kombucha.
Read moreWij zaten boven in de zaak en daar was het wat frisjes. Een aardige jongen van de bediening zette de verwarming via de airco aan voor ons. De inrichting van de zaak hebben wij als fijn ervaren. Toilet was netjes en schoon.
Update:
Hou er rekening mee dat de prijzen op de website niet altijd overeenkomen met de prijzen die je scant met de QR-code in het restaurant. Het Oh!Ma'tje kost geen €16,9, maar €17,50 en de €16,9 vonden wij dus al aan de hoge kant.

Tijdens de Gentse Feesten 2023 een paar keer bij Oh!Ma gegeten, toen nog als pop-up.

Lekkere alcoholvrije cocktails, zeer vriendelijke bediening.
Uitkijken naar het vervolg, het zou de bedoeling zijn om hier een vast restaurant te beginnen.

April 2024, Oh!Ma is definitief geopend.
Daar wilden we meteen naartoe, we aten er heel lekker, nog steeds de bekende Vlaamse klassiekers in een plantaardige versie.
Heel lekkere cocktails, borrelhapjes (de bitterballen en kaaskroketjes zijn heel lekker en zullen ook bij niet vegans in de smaak vallen), de hoofdgerechten zijn iets te hoog geprijsd.
Wij bestelden met de QR codes op de tafel, dit ging heel vlot maar we merkten dat bij andere mensen in het restaurant de bediening (wel heel vriendelijk!) wat stroef liep...dit zijn foutjes die in een wellicht stresserende openingsweek kunnen gebeuren.
De machine loopt nog niet helemaal geolied, maar ze draait wel op plantaardige olie!
We komen zeker terug, Oh!Ma is een mooie aanwinst voor Gent!
Update 29 juli 2024: Twee keer geweest tijdens de Gentse Feesten, zowel in het restaurant als in de pop-up aan St.Baafs, beide heel geslaagd.

Lovely staff and the art work is funny. Really liked the batterballen. Had the stew for a main which was really generous with the portion size and there was lots of the fake meat but the flavour wasn't that strong, maybe that is authentic though I have nothing to compare it to. I'd go for the burger next time

Typical Dishes from Belgium - Edit
Vegan restaurant in central Ghent with some typical dishes. The attendant spoke very good English and we were well looked after. We ordered the dishes "Oh!MA'tje" and "You Had me at Truffle". The food was good, even though the base of both dishes was mostly fried potatoes. As a starter, we ordered the "Cheezy Croquettes", which was incredible, we even thought it tasted better than the main dishes.

This fast food restaurant with traditional Belgian food on the menu is a must visit when in Gent! The atmosphere is great, the service is good and the food is amazing. We tried the vol-au-vent and the signature ‘Ohma-dish’ and both were absolutely amazing. The dishes were flavourful and very filling. I can’t wait to go back and try more

The food was good, BUT they forgot the giant cookies and we waited for more than 30min for those - That‘s the problem with app based orders… we could choose if we wanted the cookies served as a dessert and of course… they forgot. We had to ask three times and there was no initiative by the staff to fix the issue. I find it also very annoying that you can only pay via visa as a foreign customer and that there‘s no possibility to pay by debitcard or cash.

Great place for vegan belgian food - Edit
We went with our 2 boys (6 and 7)who loved it too. We had the hot girl summer burger (very tasty), fries, cheese croquettes (really good!!) and the Om'atje (fries with stoofvleessauce and snacks). Amazing. Including homemade andalusesauce that send my husband to heaven. No time for dessert so thats for next time.
