Sooo, I went there for lunch, not knowing that they actually have a different (bigger) menu for the evening (like the Hotdog, more desserts,...) but I still found a suitable option for me, so it was alright.
You actually order online (except if you ask for the card) and I got very confused at first - it makes you choose a main course, then a side dish and a sauce. The "side dishes" are the fries - normal, sweet potato or cheesy. You can also choose no side - but I wanted to "switch" normal fries for sweet potato. I got up, asked a waitress why that would be 4€ extra, and she said "yeah... well... it's like that..." and now I still don't know - if you click "no sides", do you still receive fries? Because normal fries are 3€ extra as well? So to say - you pay SEVENTEEN FIFTY for the STEW? That's simply way too much. And then that's a medium portion, you can size up for 4€ extra...
So yea, the stew is labelled as 17,90€, but you won't receive it as pictured under 20,90€, which also means that's normal fries with ketchup, nothing special.
But now to the food itself - it was delicious! It was rich in flavour, the protein was tasty, the fries were sweet and fresh and even the ketchup tasted fancy. But the "side salad" completely lacked in flavour, it's really just a few bites of veggies.
As a dessert I ordered the Liège Waffle ice cream (9,50€), again, extremely expensive but super good. A soft-crispy sweet treat you shouldn't miss, but the vanilla ice cream for 2,50€ extra isn't necessary. Save your money.
The service is quick, but 31,90€ for one person to become full is insane

I took a vegan ‘julientje’, sort of Belgian loaded fries. It was okay tastewise. The Luikse Waffle was very good though, the best vegan waffle I’ve tasted. Just unfortunate about the service that forgot the icecream on top of the waffle and only gave it to me when my waffle was already gone.

Definitely my second highlight of our city trip to Ghent – a must-visit if you’re into indulgent, creative fast food. The name is already iconic, and the interior matches the vibe: fun, bold, and welcoming. The space is larger than you’d expect, with a second floor and outdoor seating, but it’s also very popular – we were lucky to get a spot!

We started with the truffle and cheezy croquettes (both delicious), followed by Oh!Ma’s Nacho’s! for my friend and You had me at truffle for me.
As a self-proclaimed truffle lover, I had to try both truffle items – very tasty, though I personally would’ve loved an even bolder truffle flavor. The portions are huge, so sadly we couldn’t fit dessert – but I’d come back in a heartbeat. Super friendly staff and a creative, indulgent, and fully vegan spot that totally lives up to the hype!
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 simply because fast food isn’t my personal favorite, and I think my stomach didn’t fully agree with the richness afterwards – which is more about me than the food. Everything was clearly freshly prepared and full of flavor, and I’d absolutely return to try more from the menu – everything sounded incredible.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The croquettes were so tasty and the stew was so flavoursome. Enjoyed a few different beers as well and nice desserts too. The staff were so friendly, and there's a funny picture in the loo!!!

I visited OhMa a couple of times and mostly it did not disappoint. (Once I had the pesto pearl pasta salad with pumpkin which was basically a plate of red cabbage and onion and you could barely find any pasta, pesto, nor pumpkin so that wasn't very yummy - see last picture).

I have to give 4 stars because of the pasta dish, that was definitely not worth the 5 stars...
I like the concept and the variety on the menu and the place is very nice, service always friendly.

Loved our visit to Oh!Ma! We had the cheesy croquette as a starter, the Belgium stew as a main and finished with a Belgium waffle - all absolutely gorgeous. We also tried two of their mocktail which were delicious. The staff was really nice and the ambience of the place was awesome as well. Definitely come here if you’ve got some time in Gent!

The food was so good and the staff so friendly!🩷 I love how typical Belgian their menu is 🇧🇪 not like the Belgian cuisine is that deep, but it's still super fun especially if you're a tourist who wants to taste some culture!
Read moreFor starters we had the betterballs and cheezy croquettes. 🧀 They were both super yummy, although cold in the center. I'm sure we would have gotten new ones if we asked though, the staff was so friendly and helpful, but we didn't mind too much 😅
The pasta carbonara was so yummy and cheesy 🍝🧀 and the "oh!ma'tje" was even better!! It was flavorful and nostalgic, I'd definitely order that one if I were to come back 💕💖
They also have vegan Belgian waffles ahhh 🧇🌱💛 I love Belgian waffles SO much but it's so hard to find vegan ones even in Gent! I highly recommend these, do not skip the waffles!!! Waffles are amazing!!! ❤️
The interior was nice especially the upstairs area, but seems like that's only used on busy days. The staff was very bubbly and friendly 💕 Can't wait to come back! 💚

I recommend the Oh!Ma’s Stack as dessert (for 2 or 3) it you don’t know what to choose and want to have something super sweet (it’s also heavy but delicious)
For a five star review, they would either need to make it all cheaper, or make it all really excellent.

A nice interior, but quite cold inside. The menu is basically overpriced fast food. The vol au vent was a depressingly thick sauce without any actual mushrooms and only one type of 'meat' (there ought to be both 'chicken' and 'meat balls'). The salad was simply sad, didn't even have dressing. Great that it is fully vegan, but don't take a date here if you want to impress them.

I absolutely loved this restaurant and hope to go back one day! They offer lots of vegan versions of traditional Belgium meals which is a great way to feel like you’re not missing out. I went for the loaded fries - with Belgian stew & onions. I can’t put into words how good this was!! Highly recommend 😄

I really wanted to love this restaurant, but I think I might’ve chosen the wrong menu items. I chose the truffle croquettes which were just ok, the cheese fries were tasty, and the pumpkin salad which was bad imo. There was no sauce (takeaway order) so it was dry and no bread as advertised on the menu. It was also just weirdly bitter and I did not enjoy it. I ended up paying more than 30 euros. I would have to try other things on the menu.

Overall I had a good experience here. Upon entering we were greeted very warmly. Ordering and paying is generally done via QR code, but I saw other people ordering directly with the waiter. The food came out on time but then again, we came in very early when there were practically no other people. Although the food is really tasty, I find the price just a bit too high for what you get.

Gaan eten bij OH!ma voor mijn verjaardag vrijdag en het was eigenlijk een teleurstelling. We keken er al lang naar uit.
Read moreWe kwamen aan, kregen van een vriendelijke ober ons plekje (onder een warme lucht blazer dus niet bijzonder aangenaam). We bestellen onze drankjes en hapjes aan de ober en deze komen op een normaal moment aan. We vroegen dan om het hoofdgerecht te komen opnemen, hij is niet gekomen. Dan toch maar via die QR code (wij gebruiken onze telefoon op restaurant liever niet, ik vind dit een heel vervelend iets).
Zijn een eeuwigheid later 2 van de 4 hoofdgerechten gekomen. De andere 2 waren blijkbaar verloren in de chaos. Ook ketchup hebben we later nog moeten bijvragen, terwijl dat wel ik de bestelling aangeduid stond.
Ook de 2 tafels die naast ons zaten kregen niets...bestelling ging niet door...foute bestelling...
Dessert duurde opnieuw erg lang. Wij zijn in totaal 3 uur binnen geweest. En dat terwijl de direct besteld hebben bij aankomst en direct na de dessert vertrokken zijn. Met 3 kinderen mee is dat veel te lang.
Ik begrijp hun concept dus niet goed. Doe je fastfood? Dan hoort het goed en snel te gaan. Is het eerder uitgebreid dineren? Dan verwacht ik toch interactie met de ober en deftige service.

Ik begrijp niet van waar die vele 5 sterren hier komen. Enkel omdat het puur vegan is?
Stoofvlees was wel erg lekker. Anders ging ik nog zeuren dat 2 sterren teveel is. Maar die prijs 🥴.
Je kunt in Gent lekkerder vegan eten voor die prijs dan dit.

The hot dog was very good but a bit expensive for the price, knowing that it does not include any side dishes.
The loaded fries were delicious and the portion was quite large. The sauce did not taste like truffle but rather like a cheese and garlic sauce. The crispy chicken pieces were almost non-existent so there were mainly fries... Too bad because that does not make it a real "main course".
We tried the waffle for dessert which was very good, nothing to complain about.
Finally, I would say that it is a rather gourmet restaurant but the value for money is not the best compared to other restaurants in the city.
