Established Vegan cafe in Chesapeke Mill - Edit
Well established vegan cafe within the Chesapeake Mill and fully Vegan so if going with non vegan friends they may need to be convinced. Always offer unusual and creative menu, in my mind slightly overpriced considering setting of being within antique shop rather than separate building hence only given 4 rather than 5 stars.
Read morePros: Fully vegan, Creative menu
Cons: Pricey , Limited number of tables and busy at weekends, Non vegan friends might be difficult to cater for

Homemade almond milk is amazing! - Edit
I had been meaning to go here for so long now and it is a little pricey so went for a birthday treat! Food is beautifully flavoured and tea and cakes were amazing! The highlight for me was the homemade almond milk to go in my chai tea!

Every town needs an Offbeet! - Edit
This place is worthy of all the excellent reviews, not just the amazing menu, service & setting, but the company ethos, too.
Read moreSo glad that vegan food can be showcased in this way, as I’m sure many people won’t even realise what they think they’d miss. Really hope it helps to break down the psychological walls for non-vegans. To summarise, and quote some classic Eric B & Rakim; “THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE”...
Pros: I want to eat here every day
Cons: I want to eat here every day (but can’t)

Lovely food and nice place to visit - Edit
Food is very good each time I visit, menu is updated regularly so there is variety even if you have visited before. I would recommend booking a table if you know you’re visiting as it can get busy!

No superlative would be sufficient - Edit
This is basically vegan heaven. A staggering range of cakes, great teas and coffees and meals that taste as good as they look and are nutritionally well-balanced as well. All in the amazing setting of the Chesapeake Mill. It’s worth moving to the vicinity, just to be able to eat there regularly. I doubt if anywhere else has such an incredible range of absolutely delicious vegan (and gluten free) cakes/raw “cheesecakes”. Everything on the lunch menu was imaginative, well thought out, beautifully crafted and presented. If you are in the area, book for lunch or go for tea and cakes (can’t possibly just eat one, because they are too good and as cakes go, these are certainly not unhealthy). My partner and I are both vegan and have eaten at many restaurants and cafes and we both agree this place is really special and one of the best. It’s so rare for everything to be just right and to have such a selection of delicious and nutritious vegan food.

A Vegan Gem! - Edit
Dog friendly and incredible vegan food - what more could you ask for! The menu all sounded quite heavy as we had gone in wanting a salad but the food was really light and so beautifully presented. My husband is a meat eater but loved his meal. I opted for a raw (cold) curry which was one of the best things I've ever tried and my husband had the tofu fish and chips which came with miso peas and thin 'noodle' fries. Both dishes were incredible. We shared a summer berry cheesecake for dessert and it was out of this world. Definitely worth visiting!

Offbeet’s dishes have never disappointed me and always taste amazing! A lot of the dishes are quite inventive so it’s nice to go somewhere which doesn’t only do standard vegan food. 100% recommend!

A lovely cafe with outdoor seating by little stream. The menu is fairly small but the food is delicious, excellently presented and all 100% vegan. The staff were very friendly too and service was fast. We had the black bean burger and the mushroom ragu and were both very happy with our meal!

Well, what a wonderful find this was! Downloaded the Happy Cow App and took my gorgeous vegan daughter there for a surprise! She’d heard of it so shrieked as we pulled into the car park in rural Wickham, not far from where I live. Worth it to hear that!

Went down well! - Edit
I wanted some cakes to take to work to help celebrate Diwali. One person is a Jain and doesn't eat egg at all so vegan cakes are perfect. I bought a selection which I cut up into smaller pieces and my goodness...they went down well with everyone...Hindu or not! I think there will be lots of new customers here, including me 😃.
