great little cafe / restaurant - Edit

The best vego place I've been in Turkey so far. Turkish and international cuisine. Almost all mains can be made vegan. Average price of 20 lira per main, all come with super tasty olive bread. Perhaps not as much food as a 20 lira vegetarian kebap from a local restaurant, both definitely worth it for the change, options and to support a veg establishment. Relaxed and welcome vibe and nice setting. Highly recommend.

Pros: vegan options, range, atmosphere

Cons: none

Pretty good - Edit

Since this is the only fully vegetarian place in Kaş, it's definitely worth a try if you're staying there.

Although the opening hours suggest they're open all week, we found that they were closed on Mondays, so had to go back the next day. The place is located about 5 mins. walk up a small hill from the center of Kaş town (on the street with Yapi Kredi bank).

The menu is interesting and has a reasonable amount of variation. I tried the onion rings which were good, and the "ekmeküstü tabağı" which is little pieces of bread with various toppings is very good.

One thing a little odd is seeing "Parmesan eggplant" on the menu. They should either make it clear on the menu that it's a vegetarian type of 'Parmesan' or otherwise remove it.

The falafel plate is fine, but I don't know, I suppose I was expecting a little more given the good quality of the other options. It was not bad, but nothing special, and personally I don't like seeing a plate of boring salad as part of a main dish in a veg. place, it just seems to suggest a lack of imagination. Perhaps they could have improved it by making it into a pitta type sandwich with more variety of fillings, e.g. fresh coriander, tahini, aubergine etc.

Some of the other mains looked like good options, although there didn't really seem to be anything based on tofu/seitan or a veggie burger or similar. They could benefit from adding something like this to the menu, or making it more readily available if it's not always there.

The desserts on the other hand were excellent. Although if you're vegan, you might be feeling a bit left out, but otherwise they were very tasty. I'd come back here for the desserts alone.

The decor is very well done, modernist but warm, and the staff are friendly. Prices are a little higher than average but not too bad.

Pros: Overall good food, Nice decor & ambiance, fairly central location

Cons: Few options for protein based dishes, Not many dessert options for vegans
