Amazing brunch - Edit
The Sunday brunch buffet was a let-down, 29 € for bread, very few vegan spreads and a drink, but I'm glad we came back on a weekday. Only one vegan breakfast item on the regular menu but a fairly varied and interesting one, I had fresh fruits & veggies, hummus, Indian bhaji & fig chutney, crispy mushroom, kimchi and tofu on my tray, very wild mix, but every item very flavoursome, only the kimchi was a bit too much and too strong for breakfast... worth the price, only the coffees I find to be a bit overpriced at almost 5€ a cup.

Loved the curry - Edit
The restaurant doesn’t have a huge amount of vegan options, with the only main (besides salads) being a curry. Luckily the curry is really tasty and I enjoyed it a lot. The restaurant itself also looks nice and has a great view. I definitely plan to return to try the vegan breakfast.

The curry was really tasty but it was the only thing we could have from the menu. There were no deserts & I don't think any of the beers were vegan so had to stick to coke. The waiter didn't help at all when I asked about vegan beer.

The food deserves 5 stars, but... No english menu, the waiter, who knew that we didn't understand German, didn't bother to help us with any of the dishes. We asked for a vegan dish, and his reply was that there was only one - a sandwich. After reading ourselves the menu (With Google translate's help) we saw that there was a few more vegan dishes, and he was just too lazy to tell us about them. It happened again when we asked for the dessert menu. He threw the menu on the table, opened it in the wrong page, and left.
Read moreAnother big disappointment was to find out at the end of dinner that they only recieved cash. As tourists on their last day in Vienna, we didn't have enough cash, so we were told (with a very unpleasant tone) to go and get the cash from the ATM.
I expect a waiter at least to be nice and kind. This restaurant has a lot of potential, it's a pity that the experience is so bad.

High above Vienna - Edit
The first thing that needs to be mentioned about this restaurant is the unique location. It is situated at the top of the city library, it offers a great view of the surrounding city. They have a very variable and diverse menu, so you won't get bored after eating there multiple times. The restaurant itself is more of a bistro, not too high end, but still a respectable establishment. They even offer a vegan breakfast, the service was friendly, and the food was good. Recomendable for tourists!

Such a place never disappoint. Location is fantastic, Oben - which means 'above' - is a rooftop restaurant on the upper floor of the public library. Not merely vegan, professionally they offer a well balanced menu with vegan choices. All is good and well prepared, great cuisine. Simple and friendly service.
