Indian Food & Thai Food Number One Vegetarian Restaurant is a little restaurant minutes from Khoasan Rd providing a separate vegetarian menu of Thai dishes alongside Western classics. Veggie dishes include stir fries, soups, curries, and salads. Fresh tofu and salad sandwiches and baguette are available. Has a smoothie, juice, and lassi menu and fruit platters for dessert. Reported closed November 2022.

Super lecker und super günstig

Das Number 1 ist in der selben Straße wie das Ethos oder das May. Von außen sieht es auf den ersten Blick nicht so super ansprechend aus jedoch haben wir es dennoch mal ausprobiert. Und es hat sich gelohnt. Auf der Karte stehen neben vegetarischen Gerichten auch Fleischgerichte - jedoch gibt es ein paar extra Seiten im Menü mit vegetarischen / veganen Gerichten. Eigentlich ist der Großteil hier vegetarisch. Die Köchinnen sind sehr freundlich und das Essen ist sehr sehr lecker.
Das Essen kann absolut mithalten im vergleich zum Essen im May und kostet im vergleich 1/2. Wir hatten u.a. ein Phad Thai mit Tofu und ohne Ei - dafür aber mit sehr viel Sprossen und Gemüse für 40 Baht. Die meisten Gerichte kosten ca. 40 Baht. Essen wurde sehr schnell zubereitet.

Pros: Günstig (40-60 Baht), Schnell, Freundlich und Lecker

vegan, local et délicieux ❤

Un restaurant typique de la Thaïlande les prix suuuper raisonnable. La nourriture est locale, délicieuse et variée. On y est retourner chaque jour pour déjeuner et souper.

lovely choice

The prices are great and the staff is friendly. There are 4-5 different vegetarian places close by but this is the one by far with the best prices and with dishes most simular to the traditional thai food... they do not try to make anything fancy, but every dish just tastes amazing.

Can't get enough!

Found this place on the first night and have been going back ever since. The curries are delicious and it's great value. Will miss this place!

Not great, not bad

Nice offer of vegetarian and vegan versions of thai dishes but the quality is very mediocre. If you go try their lemongrass ice tea;)

Perfect for Lunch

I visited Number 1 Vegetarian many many times while living in the Khoasan Road area of Bangkok. It is a traditional Thai restaurant with a semi outdoor seating area, a large diverse menu and excellent staff.
No dish costs more that 50 baht and the portions are pretty large. They also serve alcohol and have a really yummy range of fruit smoothies (I would highly recommend the coconut)

Pros: Very Cheap, Lots of Choice, Smoothies

Cons: Mosquitos
