Won't be returning

Firstly I found this a very noisy and busy place to be.
While they have a vegan menu is only has about 4 or 5 choices and these are just mains. So asked 2 members of staff if any of the starters were suitable for vegans and just got a blank stare. Finally a 3rd staff member indicated that the vegetarian 'selection' was vegan and one other starter was vegan.
The food was so bland and TBH boring. Lack of textures and spice, neither of us could be bothered to eat the food it really was that poor. Just westernised asian cooking from the 70's.

Pros: vegan 'menu'

Best vegan Indian food I’ve ever had !

Can’t believe I didn’t know about this place before this year. Went once and have now been 4 times and had multiple deliveries !
They have vegan and veggie options and really lovely different vegan options, the first creamy curries I’ve had since going vegan. Staff are brilliant and knowledgable, service is great. Such nice drinks and just a really nice restaurant especially before going to a show as it’s so close to the opera house. The massala chips are also vegan and sooo nice ! The last time we went they replaced our non vegan dips (mixed group eating) to make them all vegan which was so nice. Def recommend !

Not totally vegan

I didn’t dine in, but ordered my dinner as takeaway. Once I got back to the hotel, I was surprised to see the ingredient label—it listed both butter and milk.

Yet the dish was marked as vegan. If you need your food to be lactose-free, be sure to double-check here that no milk or butter is used.

Spicy & splendid

Absolutely delicious food in this high-end eatery. We visited for pre theatre dinner at 5.30 and the place was nearly full by 6pm. Service is very efficient with plenty of attentive staff on the floor. There is an array of options with a page dedicated to vegan curries and another of vegetarian food. One of my favourite Belfast treat spots, highly recommend a visit.

Pros: Perfect spice levels, Modern decor, Speedy service

State of the Art Spice

An absolutely tremendous and efficient place with a separate vegan section and where most dishes can be adapted as vegan. Staff are knowledgable and relay orders to the kitchen via headsets and tablets. Our tarka dhal and vegetable madras mains were so good. The Madras had a delightful heat to it as did the Bombay potatoes but to a lesser extent. Make sure you book online to avoid disappointment, this is a great place to experience.

Pros: Great vegan choice

Amazing Indian food and drinks!

Went the other week with my partner and had an amazing meal! We shared a starter, and I ordered one of the vegan mains with kidney beans. We also got a couple mocktails each and they were so good, we had to stop ourselves from chugging them down. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant! There were several vegan mains on the menu.

Top drawer

Anyone remember the venue??
Or the weird place that replaced it that used casino chips to pay for drink in an attempt to bust licencing laws?

Anyway, it's now an Indian restaurant. Have been in here on and off over the years and am usually impressed. It's quite cheffy, top drawer Indian food. It's usually got an impressive depth of flavour and is very popular at key times - book online.
Veg and vegan menu, have tried most things - I'm a huge fan of very spicy food, and have asked for it to be as spicy as they can manage, could still safely rub it in my eyes.
But the depth of flavour and subtlety of the dishes is consistently impressive.
On down side, the major flaw is it's not cheap - they don't even list the prices on the menu - but each dish can range from £12 to £20, so watch out. You can spend £100 on a bottle of vodka with 10 mixers, if you're feeling silly.
Vegan options clearly labelled and separate, just watch you ask for the breads not to be rubbed with ghee (clarified butter, all you southerners stop sniggering).
All in all - pretty good, waiting staff either very attentive or irritating depending on your mood and preferences.

Pros: Quality

Cons: Can I get you anymore (etc)? X 15 , Price
