Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant with a vegan menu section which may include main dishes and a few starters. Open Mon-Fri 17:00-23:00, Sat 15:00-23:00, Sun 17:00-23:00.
Anyone remember the venue??
Or the weird place that replaced it that used casino chips to pay for drink in an attempt to bust licencing laws?
Anyway, it's now an Indian restaurant. Have been in here on and off over the years and am usually impressed. It's quite cheffy, top drawer Indian food. It's usually got an impressive depth of flavour and is very popular at key times - book online.
Veg and vegan menu, have tried most things - I'm a huge fan of very spicy food, and have asked for it to be as spicy as they can manage, could still safely rub it in my eyes.
But the depth of flavour and subtlety of the dishes is consistently impressive.
On down side, the major flaw is it's not cheap - they don't even list the prices on the menu - but each dish can range from £12 to £20, so watch out. You can spend £100 on a bottle of vodka with 10 mixers, if you're feeling silly.
Vegan options clearly labelled and separate, just watch you ask for the breads not to be rubbed with ghee (clarified butter, all you southerners stop sniggering).
All in all - pretty good, waiting staff either very attentive or irritating depending on your mood and preferences.
