Absolutely worth flying from Australia for!! - Edit
This place is literally the best bean restaurant in Japan! We first ate T’s Tan Tan at the Tokyo railway station, and have retired to it many times since. We’ve now been able to eat here at T2 and it didn’t disappoint. Everything is vegan and delicious!!!

First vegan meal in Japan - Edit
After landing at Terminal 1, we took the airport bus to Terminal 2 and had dinner here before taking the train into Tokyo. I had the katsu-karei, which was wonderfully satisfying. My husband had the shoyu ramen. We also got a side of six delicious gyoza, which we shared. It's such a delight to be able to eat at an all-vegan restaurant at the airport.

What a find in an airport! BEFORE security FYI. Comfy seats, nice view and a much more extensive menu than any other T’s we have visited. Service was friendly, food was great and the cost was low for airport fare. Heaps of seating and varied table/booth sizes. Iced coffee was surprisingly good. Highly recommend.

Really lovely gyozas. Have the premium ramens and they were really filling and tasty. Not the best ramen we’ve had in Japan but 4* because decent meal before flight. So happy to find a fully vegan restaurant at the airport. To find it you need to be in T2 departures BEFORE security. It’s upstairs. Look for it on a guide, but it’s on the right hand of all the shops.

First vegan restaurant at the airport in my life - Edit
I was very surprised when I was looking for a restaurant near the airport and discovered that there’s actually a vegan restaurant inside the airport! It’s located in Terminal 2 on the 4th floor (4F), right next to McDonald’s and Starbucks.
Read moreService was quick and friendly, and the menu had a good variety of options. I think the prices are very reasonable — not only for an airport restaurant, but even compared to many vegan places outside the airport, which are often more expensive.
We paid around €20 for gyoza (highly recommended!), vegan chicken (a bit bland), and the curry cutlet (the cutlet was delicious, the curry itself was decent, pretty standard). As is common in Japan, you get as much free water as you want.
Many other reviews mentioned how good the soups were — maybe we should have ordered one of those instead. The dishes we chose were mostly vegetarian meat alternatives, which didn’t require much preparation and mostly relied on the flavor from the manufacturer, so they tasted a bit like store-bought products.

Warm and hearty all-vegan meal in an airport, which is quite rare - Edit
Having finished up a holiday in Tokyo, I took the train to Narita Airport and arrived early, so I put my backpack in a locker and went looking for food. Surprisingly Happy Cow told me there was a fully vegan restaurant in the airport, which is very rare. It took me an enormous amount of time walking around to eventually find this place. The food turned out to be quite expensive but also quite delicious. The ramen was creamy, strong and flavoursome. The gyoza was crispy. I also had an oat latte. It was very nice to have a warm and hearty all-vegan meal in an airport.

Read moreI had the sesame tantan as that's my usual preferred option. It's a great creamy broth that is well flavoured with pepper, sesame and peanut butter. The mock meat ball adds a nice bit of texture and a different taste - it is served cold on top so I like to mix it into the broth to warm it up a bit.
