Incredibly satisfying sandwiches…split the reuben (SUCH good cheese) and the buffalo chicken, both so good! And those muffins — incredible! Very friendly staff as well who were very helpful with allergy concerns.

Omg! Ruben is my fav. The bacon on the BLT is Mwah (house made) Portions are big. It's a small place and it's not fast food, be patient, it's worth it.

Finally got to try the new Salem location.
Pretty tasty !
I would recommend teying the crispy bakun chikun sammy!
.....so good I went back in to get another one for later !!

Loved the buffalo chicken wrap and chicken Caesar wrap. Also got the mac and cheese which is garlicky and comes with bread crumbs on top. The fries were also delicious, there was a sprinkle of dill on them!

Delicious comfort food in Salem - Edit
Fantastic spot for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. Fresh, delicious comfort food with a nice café bar selection and tempting desserts. Gluten-free options are clearly marked, and the staff was wonderfully accommodating of two celiac friends. It’s dog-friendly, the service is warm and attentive, and the space is clean and comfortable. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Highlight of my entire Boston trip! - Edit
Even compared to Boston restaurants, this was fantastic!!! The buffalo chicken sandwich was truly outstanding and the mac and cheese was a perfectly creamy, noochy concoction. The cheesesteak sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. I can’t recommend highly enough!!

Was disappointed with this place since I had hopes, but I felt the food was lacking in flavor for the price. We got the chickn burger and I didn't like the texture and felt it had very little flavor. Italian sub was better, and fries were good. But on top of that, there's no restrooms or water cups or anything like that which makes it really hard to enjoy the experience. Wouldn't go back.

That said, we do want to respectfully note that judging our entire menu and concept based on a single visit and one of our most basic sandwiches doesn’t fully represent what we offer. Our menu includes a wide range of house-made items and rotating specials that many guests travel specifically to enjoy.

As for amenities, we are transparent about being a small, takeout-focused space, which can be different from what some out-of-town guests expect. Specifically during September and October when most places close their bathrooms.

Update: went again. Ordered online and said pickup in 15-20 minutes. When I got there 30 minutes later they said it wasn't ready yet. So I waited. And waited. My husband was outside waiting in the car and finally had to go pay for metered parking. After an hour I asked about it again and the woman was rude to me glaring at me and said they were very busy and I needed to be patient. I was being patient the entire time but I still couldn't understand why my order of two sandwiches and a side of Mac and cheese would take so long when it was pre-ordered and it sure seemed like others were getting theirs first. I asked again and asked if it had even been started yet at this point and she went and got a woman who is the owner. Shd didn't ask me what my issue was or explain why it was taking now an hour and 20 minutes. She looked at me mean and said I needed to be patient. Again I told them when I placed the order and they looked at me like I was lying a d just complaining. Finally the owner guy brought over my order, all pissed at me too. Three people treating me like I did something wrong when all I did was check in on my food order a couple times. He basically shoved the bag at me and it seemed light so I checked it and there was no side of Mac so I told him. He said I didn't order it. I said I did and I certainly paid for it. He showed me the slip and said it wasn't on there. I looked at it and showed him it printed on it. He was so prejudging me that he didn't even look clearly. I told him I couldn't understand why I was being treated like all this. Especially the mean looks and telling me over and over to be patient like I wasn't, by his wife and the other staff and in front of the whole restaurant. He said my order had just come in off the ticker or something. So I guess either they never saw it or there was a glitch. He apologized a few times and finally understood the problem was on their end.

Old: Tried the Italian sub and BLT. Both awesome. Mac and cheese side good too, although wish the side came with the Ritz topping as the full Mac and cheese does. So much more to try. Can't wait.

The cheese sauce was incredible 🥰🥰 The Boy is extremely fussy when it comes to Vegan cheese 🧀 but he was 100% won over with this 🥰🥰

Salem has understandably developed its city’s economy around the infamous witch trials. And while it does take effort to look past the kitsch to learn about this terrible history, you don’t have to look far to find amazing vegan food.
Read moreNot Ya Mama’s Vegan, recently relocated from Worcester, serves the BEST vegan chick’n patty. It’s moist, plump, and thick and made fully in-house, confirmed by the nice man at the counter. So good, we got it on two dishes, the Caesar salad and the crispy chick’n sandwich. Not to discount its other offerings. It just means we’re saving it for the next time we roll through (I’m looking at you, Reuben sandwich).
NYMV is located on the north end of Witch City Mall, with a spacious dining area, and is not to be missed.

Stumbled across this place in the Witch Mall while visiting Salem. I had the turkey bacon wrap, wife had chicken and bacon burger and my son had the impossible bacon burger. All tasted great! Can get busy around lunch time but would highly recommend eating here

The Vegan Cafe Salem Desperately Needed - Edit
New to Salem and so so welcome. Got there at 11am right when they opened and there was already a line to the door. Got a delicious breakfast sandwich and a boston creme donut that was to die for.

One of my friends raves about this place saying it’s their favorite vegan restaurant of all time. It was really good(especially the donuts) but the fake bacon kind of freaked me out. I would definitely give it a try.

Yummy chicken sandwich - Edit
We ordered the chicken ranch sandwich and it was delicious, it's a huge fluffy patty, and was possibly the best mock fried chicken I've had, and the bacon was so good, also the bun too, I thought was extra yummy because my past experiences, vegan buns don't always taste great. We got an order of fries and they tasted super light and crispy. For fast food it all tasted quite fresh!
Read moreA word of warning we arrived towards the end of their day about two hours before closing and they were out of everything we tried to order until we just had to ask what they did have! But that's actually a good thing because they were really busy the entire time we were there (Sunday afternoon) so it was great to be able to try such a popular local spot. We'll definitely stop again earlier next time!
