Great vibe - Edit
Really great atmosphere at Njord, and great to have a café-bar overlooking the nature reserve. The vegan sausage rolls are the best I've ever tasted. Such a shame the kitchen doesn't seem to be open on a Sunday afternoon. I don't know if that's a permanent thing as I've seen adverts for kitchen staff. Regardless, very happy to spend time there. The Nordic décor is definitely a plus, though I'm not sure what else qualifies it as Nordic as I haven't seen any Scandinavian dishes or drinks. It's such a great addition to the area, I hope it continues to be popular.

Try the Vegan Brekkie! - Edit
Heard this place opened up as a brand new vegan cafe just outside of Ramsgate. Was disappointed to find that it is not actually vegan but does have a lot of vegan options. I heard the vegan thing didn't work, so that is a bit sad. Maybe they will try again if everyone only eats their vegan options!
Read moreWe visited when they first opened late 2023 and enjoyed their coffees and sausage roll. Returned Jan 2024 to find they had introduced meals including a full vegan English! It was one of the best I have ever tried, complete with sourdough and vegan spread, vegan bacon, beans, sausage, smashed avo and tomatoes on the vine. I really, really hope they are able to try fully vegan again as they do it well! It would be the only fully vegan cafe in the area.
