Delicious - but need more vegan items! - Edit
Visiting from out of state, my group stopped at Nixta for takeout, ordering the beet tartare tacos and cauliflower tacos -- the items clearly listed as vegan on their menu. Both were absolutely delicious! We also ordered the seasonal salad with smoked squash, sage, toasted pecans, and pomegranates, which they said they were veganizing for us -- and that was one of the best dishes I've ever had. Only complaint: when I referred back to the online menu to prepare this review, that seasonal salad was listed as vegetarian but not veganizable, so I'm confused.

Nixta provides a unique dining experience and is worth a visit, even if they don't have too many vegan options.

I went twice on my three day stay at Austin, the food is amazing and super friendly staff! I highly recommend the cauliflower tacos and the turnip ceviche, the salsas are also sooooo good. I cant wait to go back!!! 10/10 and new favorite spot at Austin, (I cant give it a 5 star review because it also offers non vegan options but it is 🤤)

Pleasantly surprised - Edit
I wasn’t expecting to get full after eating here but I was pleasantly surprised! The flavors of the food are so satisfying. I got the 2 100% vegan options on the menu and left very happy. I can’t decide which one I liked more - the beet tartare tostada or the smoked cabbage taco. My only complaint is that I wish they had even MORE vegan options! Great place to go with your omni friends.

Came and enjoyed the beet tartar tostada as well as a seasonal tostada that had black bean hummus, grilled corn and tomatoes on it. Both were so tasty!
