Dear Diary is pretty good - Edit
Unique atmosphere. I wouldn’t have liked a larger selection of food/treats. The day I went in there was a selection between a kolache or a taco to be heated up along with a few treats. The carrot cake was good.

Sweet Spot - Edit
This is a sweet spot to grab a coffee/tea/chai and hang out for a bit--the vibe is calming and quiet. The food was also delicious: the vegan cookies were fresh, moist, tasty and the vegan tacos were excellent too. The team who runs the place is quirky, kind and attentive--we really enjoy them. It's so nice to have a vegan spot so close to our home!

Such good food - Edit
Excellent coffee of course, but also great food. I had a seitan kolache which I've never had the opportunity to try before! I also had a coconut yogurt parfait which was another rare vegan treat. Loved this place and hope to go again when I visit next!

Cute vegan coffee shop - Edit
Dear diary, this is a super sweet coffee shop. They have a little store of art from local artists too, and community diaries you can write in. I had the donut with jelly and a latte with caramel. It was all well and good except for the couple doing extreme PDA 🙄 but that’s no fault of the establishment!

Adorable spot, all vegan! Had delish seitan kolache and a chocolate/peanut butter confection. Love the public diary that anyone can write in and read.

Vegan coffee shop heaven - Edit
I love the variety of both sweet and savory food offerings and the vibe is cozy and cute. They are an inclusive community space and often host music events, art installations and pop up shops. And it’s 100% vegan!!

This coffee shop looks exactly like what I would picture if I opened up my own coffee shop: lots of art and little trinkets from local artisans, inventive coffee and non-coffee drinks, community events, and a plethora of vegan pastries.

Coffee and the bakery items were great. I wish I had the chance to eat actual food here but there just wasn't enough time on vacation.

Great coffee and tea - Edit
We got a maple cold brew and a pistachio chai latte - both were delicious. I don't think I've had a pistachio chai before so thought it was unique, though it was super sweet. The baked goods were ok (pop tart and muffin) but we're not always a fan of the consistency of gluten-free baked goods. We also tried a breakfast taco but I wouldn't recommend them - they're prepackaged and even when heated up our was very dry, but the sauce they gave us was good. Obviously not the best choice for a breakfast taco so we should've figured... the barista was very friendly and even recommended places for us to check out during our trip to Austin!

Love this little coffeehouse. I would definitely go again when on the east side. Vegan donuts were gluten free. If you're into cake donuts, this is the place for you. They've also got vegan cookies, pastries, and breakfast biscuits. The art for sale and merch. is fun too.

Adorable Coffee Shop - Edit
My daughter and I visited Dear Diary in May 2021 and absolutely loved this place! Beautiful artwork displayed on every wall, lovely selection of journals, pens & stickers, and of course, the best coffee! I got a regular drip coffee and my daughter got her iced coffee with almond milk and vanilla. We both loved it. We also bought a glass container of their cold brewed coffee to enjoy at home. We also got a couple different types of breakfast tacos and wanted to love them but didn’t. They were okay but probably wouldn’t get them again.

Best almond croissant ever! - Edit
The barista recommended the croissant as their best item and he wasn’t wrong; it was delicious! However so were the breakfast tacos. They had giant pop tarts that I didn’t get but looked amazing. They also sold art, had outdoor seating and were very friendly. Plus it’s not downtown so it was easy to park! You must check this place out.

Hip, fun and delicious! - Edit
This cafe is my new favorite spot in Austin. They have TONS of great plant based food options (savory and sweet) and their coffee is divine. They also have an awesome display of local art/stickers/pins/etc. A wonderful shop that prioritizes collaborating with local plant based business and artists 🙌
