Moved to New Location - Edit
The business has moved around the corner of the building and is now located in Two Ton Tony's Pizzeria. This is the location where they started as a pop up. All of their pizzas are available at this location. You can also build your own pizza. This is the best vegan pizza I’ve had in Rochester. You should note however that the menu is mostly limited to pizza, calzones, fries, vegan wings and a couple of sandwiches etc. One really good change is the hours have been expanded and they’re open every day but Monday. Make sure to check the website.

Superb - Edit
Great tasting and good presentation too. Wish I lived closer. I like the swirls they do with the sauce on their pizzas. Definitely try this place out if you’re in the area!

Yay! - Edit
Was in town visiting family and was so excited to find out about New Ethic! We ordered the Uncle Buck pizza, jackfruit wings, and mozzarella sticks. Flavors were great, I just have a few recommendations to make this place a bit better (in my opinion):
Read more- Pizza crust was dense. If they’re not using double zero flour, they should try that out. Pizza topping flavors were fantastic though!
- Mozzarella sticks: good but freaking humongous. Would honestly be better if they charged less and made them smaller! There’s only so much cheese, vegan or otherwise, that anyone should eat (well, no one should eat dairy cheese but hopefully you know what I mean).
- Jackfruit wings: calling them “wings” is weird, they’re not like wings at all in the way the May Wah ones are (which I buy locally back home). The flavor was really yummy but it had an option for flavor so we picked old bay and it didn’t seem to be flavored that way at all… But it was still delicious! Maybe something more like arroncini (??) than wings.

Vegan mozzarella sticks 👍🏼 - Edit
Our group ordered a number of different pizza, calzone, and sub options, all were very tasty! It’s not too often you find vegan mozzarella sticks so those were a big hit with our group as well. Big portions and the calzone held up great for left overs.

Awesome food! - Edit
Everything I’ve tried from here has been consistently good! I love that there is a completely vegan pizza shop here in Rochester, especially when a good amount of pizza shops barely even have vegan cheese. Plus it’s pretty close to where I live so I don’t need to drive so far just for some pizza 😆

I suggest you look up the meaning of "decadent". I don't think that's the word you wanted to use.

A must!! - Edit
I love everything about this place. The wings with all the amazing sauce choices, the creative pizza topping combos, and my most favorite, the homemade mozz sticks!! I don’t live in Rochester anymore but on my visits back to see family, I always order from New Ethic. They really capture the western NY pizza and wing vibe I had growing up, without the cruelty! Well done.

Expensive for the quality - Edit
I've tried several things from this place:
Read morePizza: Extremely mediocre and bland crust, not the best vegan cheese (it's the sort that doesn't melt entirely from the shredded form). 4/10
Milkshakes: I got chocolate, I couldn't tell if there was any chocolate in it. Not worth $7. I've had far better elsewhere. 2/10
Garlic Knots: could have been better but also not bad. 7/10
Calzone: I liked it better than the pizza. 7/10
I think 3 stars is charitable for this price.
Pros: vegan
Cons: expensive, mediocre food

Amazing - Edit
I constantly crave calzones now that I’m vegan, & the calzone I got from here blew me out of the water. I’ve had many kinds of vegan calzones, this was by far the best! We also got the pickle pizza, which I wasn’t fully on board with, but that was also incredible. Whatever cheese they use, is delicious. If I lived closer I’d go broke buying food here daily!

Not that great. - Edit
Would give this one star, but the app won’t allow it. Food was mediocre, staff was self absorbed, and the cheese... not good.

Great Pizza Restaurant - Edit
When you walk in, you may think you are in a 1960’s pizza shop or diner. The pizza shop has vegan pizzas, calzones, shakes, snacks and appetizers. Great pizza with a nice crust. I like how they stuffed the calzone with a lot of vegan cheese. I am removing one star because they don’t give you a lot of sauce on the side for a large calzone and make you pay extra ($.80) for a small container, and no free water (even tap), hopefully they will change that. I recommend trying the oatmilk milkshakes. If you are trying to find the restaurant, the GPS takes you to the parking lot on the side of the building instead of the one in front of it. After you park, you will need to walk left then right from the parking lot, the pizza shop faces the larger street .

Authentic Garbage Plates in an Inclusive& Welcoming Environment - Edit
Delicious junk food you would find at any pizzeria! I had the Garbage Plate w/Beyond Burger and it was phenomenal. I was very happy to find this kind of food that I could eat as a vegan again.
Read moreGreat Bonus: signs around the restaurant which emphasize inclusivity no matter your identity, and compost/recycle bins are there to put pretty much everything you use from the restaurant, and almost all of their drinks are in glass bottles! The single-stall bathroom is appropiately all-gender.

Cons: A bit pricey, Semi-Limited Hours so check online ahead of time.

Vegan pizza!! - Edit
I first tried New Ethics’s food a while ago at their first pop up. Wings, pizza, mozzarella sticks, garlic knots... everything was delicious! It’s been refreshing to go to a pizza place and know that everything is vegan. As of writing this, they just recently opened their storefront so the wait time for food has been anywhere from 1-2 hours. I highly recommend calling ahead so you don’t have to stress out about waiting a while for their food. But if you do they also have chocolate chip cookies that you can grab to snack on while waiting😄
