This is a vegetarian wine bar offering vegetarian daily specials with a home-cooked taste. Beers and wines include a reasonably priced organic selection. The bar is below street level, and the walls show exhibitions of art or photography. The bar is run by women and definitely a place where women feel comfortable. If you arrive at 7pm, the day's food offering will be just being chalked onto the board. Portions are hearty. Some dishes are marked vegan.

I love this place and return again and again, there's always something different to try. My carnivore housemate has driven 50 minutes to this place for the last three Saturdays, just for their halloumi Panini!(weirdo)
Pros: Specials board, Vegan alcohol, Intimate, great for a date
Cons: No outside area, limited seating, no reservations

Don't be put off by the basement location, the food here is brilliant. There are several options for vegans and the sausage and mash is lovely.
