Well-known store with a little cafe inside. Store is small but offers a large variety of herbal medicines, supplements, vitamins, and minerals. Some whole grain breads and pastries, grains, and other packaged foods. Emphasis is on whole grain foods and organic. Manager speaks English. Onsite pharmacists give advice on herbal medicines and such. No coffee, and no chocolate. Open Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Sat 8:00am-1:30pm.

Unique vegetarian products - Edit
The only place in the whole country where we found Tofu, Seitan and Vegan Nacatamales (Traditional tamales of Nicaragua usually made with pork). Relatively cheap.
Read moreSome Vegan cosmetics such as Dr Bronners soap and Costarican brand Bioland. Relatively expensive.
Pros: Unique items, Relatively cheap food
Cons: Relatively expensive cosmetics

because there is nothing else - Edit
Well... Don't expect a healty shop: Yes they have vitamin, and some oils, and a lot of infusions/spices/herbal things, but that's not awesome.
Read moreI go there, because there is nothing more in Managua, but when I go out of Nicaragua, i run to others places to buy what I need.
I appreciate their own brand - Naturaleza - which is good, and not expensive: that cool and from Nicaragua.
But I have big doubts about the real "medicine" effect about all that vitamin, and pills with a very comercial packaging and promeses.
Pros: at least there is one shop like this in Nicaragua, Their own brand
Cons: small, There is everything, but there is nothing

Good for what it has - Edit
My biggest disappointment is that Naturaleza seems about 1/10th the size of what I would think Managua could support. It reminds me of a typical health food store of 1980 in Oympia Washington.
Read moreIt has a large assortment of "medicine" and body care products but the food selection is pretty small. You can find brown rice, sugar-free peanut butter, soy flour and such. You also find a lot of Gringas shopping there -- the kind you would have found in that store in Olympia.
Pros: health care products, knowledgable staff, central location
Cons: needs more food options
