When it comes down to it, I'd rather get my normal groceries at Trader Joe's or Sprouts to get a better deal. But Natural Grocers is not a bad #3, they have a nice produce selection as well as a wide variety of specialty vegan products such as mock meats and cheeses, frozen meals, and ice cream. There's never any employees on the floor to answer questions or help find products but there's never a line at check out. Right next to TJ Maxx so the parking lot can get hectic

Organic Vegan Paradise, with a few shortfalls - Edit
My wife and I LOVE this grocery store. Their entire produce section is certified organic and their produce is also quite well-priced compared to other grocery stores in the area. They also have a great selection of organic vegan substitutes such as Miyoko's cheeses, Forager cashewgurt, and tempeh/tofu/tempeh bacon. We even tried a non-organic, but non-gmo vegan sausage (No Evil) we found in the freezer section because we were so impressed by how simple the ingredients were. It was tasty.
Read moreOne drawback is that the bulk section, which they have a large selection of, is all prepackaged in plastic bags instead of in bins. While this may save packaging in the long-term for the average customer, we prefer the alternative as we use organic cotton produce bags for these types of purchases.
