The rating is well deserved. The staff is really nice and caring. They have a lot of different options which all looked appealing. We shared a plate for 2 and it was all so delicious. Definitely worth the price and I absolutely recommend to visit!

Read morei’ve visited in 2012, 2013 and again in 2023. they’ve moved and i kinda preferred the atmosphere in the old place but it also has a great fresh feel now!
i gotta admit: i loved the food before. the sharing platter has always been my favourite.
went for soup & a cutlet the last time and while the food was good, it wasn’t spectacular.

Als ich dort hingegangen bin, habe ich gedacht, es sei ein ganz gutes veganes Restaurant. Als ich dann aber meine Pizza bekam und schon gerochen habe, wie gut sie schmeckt, habe ich gemerkt, dass das sehr gut werden wird. Es war die beste vegane Pizza, die ich bisher gegessen habe. Mit Fake Käse und Fake Salami hat sie super lecker nach einer klassischen italienischen Pizza geschmeckt. Auch das Personal war recht freundlich und trainiert sah es schon eher aus wie in einem modernen Restaurant, was für den Preis gerechtfertigt war, es war insgesamt nämlich nicht sehr teuer. Pizza und Getränk(0,5L) haben 13 € gekostet.

Read moreI had the Seitan Roast á la Brasov which tasted very good, as well as a share of the millet dumplings in soyyoghurt sauce for dessert. From them I didn't know what to expect, but they were handmade, still warm and very yummy. Everything was very filling and I would visit again if I happen to be in Budapest again sometime :)

We had one of the platters and everything on it was really tasty. (Maybe a few too many “nugget” style pieces)
We also got some cake to take away that was really good too.

Nice place with a variety of meals. We had the falafels, one pizza, the nuggets and the seitan and ratatouille. All were tasty. Staff is nice and helpful. They also have a large choice of pastry.

Read moreWe pretty much enjoyed our food and drinks as well. The location is fine and the restaurant itself looks nice as well, they also have a few seats outside.
About the downsides, the Caesar salad dressing was a bit too salty, but still OK to eat most of it. The bread I got with my soup was so stale and hard, probably not freshly cut or baked.. and the restaurant was staying opened for another 3 hours. I didn't eat the bread. We missed beer! It would be so fitting with the Hungarian dishes, the restaurant is alcohol-free and I deeply respect that, but they could have some non-alcoholic maybe.
Overall the experience was good, but nothing wow...
Pros: Fully vegan, Friendly service
Cons: Not everything was fresh, No beer (even non-alcoholic)

Napfenyes has a sort of dated interior but it isn't scuffy. It's not what you would expect for a vegan reaurant to look like and has a cool ambience because of it. Food was all amazing and the menu was huge, probably some of the best we ate in Budapest.

When we first entered the building we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the restaurant once you go past the cake counter. Really good food. We had the sharing platter and it was more than enough for two. The pitta bread was freshly made and really soft and tasty. The lemonades were nice but I would have preferred a beer 😉. The desserts were lovely too.
