Great Indian Restaurant

Another place that we visited twice during our week's holiday.

The first time we visited, we had to queue for a table, but we took this to be a good sign.

On the first visit, I had the poppadoms and the mushroom bhaji as starters.

For the main, I tried the Vegetable Meat Karahi and also some Bombay Aloo. With a side of a Chapati and a Tandoori Roti.

On the second visit, I tried the Ragda Pattice after seeing a good review on here and then the Mushroom Masala for the main.

Overall, all the food we had was really good. Would definitely visit again.

The setting is good, and they also have multiple venues on the island.

Mumbai Masala Puerto del Carmen

Mumbai Masala was a lot busier than the other Indian restaurants on the strip, and the restaurant itself looks great. Pretty standard Indian fare here in terms of choice and quality. I’d recommend the ragda pattice (potato patties topped with chana masala) from the starters - they were a knockout. We also got the vegetable samosas which I thought were lacking a bit in flavour. For mains we went for the bindi bhaji and the vegetable biryani - both very good. Really pleasant and efficient service here - even complimentary shots at the end of the meal 😊

Yum!

Really nice but a tad too spicy (although I am quite pathetic when it comes to spice 😂). The waiter was helpful with vegan options and there was a decent amount of choice. Lovely restaurant too.

Great flavours in perfect spot

We have loved the many veggie options in the menu. We tried different dishes, Including the soja chunks with peppers sauce and everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and the views were great. It is unexpensive, for about 25€ each We ate a lot, including 2 bottles of water and 4 glasses of wine. For sure we will repeat!

Pros: Veggie options with protein and not only carbs

Best Indian

We went to the James Mumbai Masala and were simply blown away. We've had plenty of Indians back home but this was right up there with the best of them.

They're very flexible with what they can make vegan and the tadka daal was exceptional. We'll be coming back this week to try more.

Pros: Can make most dishes vegan , Very tasty , Great portions

Amazing Indian food

There are two of these restaurants and the smaller one is our favourite. We came here twice and had mushroom Bhaji, veg curry, taaka dhal, Gobi aloo, tandoori roti, chapati, mushroom rice and some other dishes I can’t remember! They know what’s vegan and the food is delicious. Not oily at all which is one thing that always puts me off some Indian restaurants/take aways. Would recommend it for anyone vegan in lanzarote! They’re more knowledgeable on vegan food that some of the veggie places we have been who have accidentally given us dairy cheese….

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Knowledgable staff, Delicious food

Cons: A little bit expensive?
