Apple tart was a total overlooked surprise! - Edit

Read moreBut when I saw there's Apple Tart on the manu, I was trying to find a picture of what it looked like on the reviews, and I completely failed... Apparently not that many people order it (probably all the attention and love of the customers got drawn to the pancakes, which I totally understand!) BUT, I've never have an apple tart so soft and tender! If you like soft-baked goods like soft baked cookies, I'd definitely recommend their apple tart! And also if you're not a big fan of cinnamon, their apple tart doesn't taste like cinnamon at all (to me at least), so like my mom who doesn't like cinnamon but loves apple tarts and pies, this is it!
Weekdays morning till 10ish is very quiet, and gets busy from 10:30am onwards.

They seemed quite busy today, so I had to wait for a bit for the pancakes I ordered. When they finally came I had a nice meal beyond my expectations. The pancakes were nicely stacked and decorated with fruit and something that resembled fairy floss. It looked good and it tasted good.

Pancakes sind sehr lecker und machen seeehr satt. Eine Portion für 14€ sind drei Pancakes mit Obst und viel Soße. Da braucht man eigentlich auch kein Getränk mehr, was für die Größe auch etwas teuer. Zudem ist es auch etwas schwer zu essen, man sollte vielleicht nach einem extra Teller fragen, damit man jeden einzelnen Pancake essen kann. Der Preis lohnt sich dann auf jeden Fall und zum Frühstück kann man sich die Portion teilen.

My spouse and I have been vegan since 1991 and 1990 respectively. We search for wonderful vegan food and will travel great distances for it. The terrific thing is we live in Amsterdam and have the opportunity to eat at Mr Stacks. The food is delicious and imaginative. It is such a fun and pleasurable experience to have a meal there. The food makes one smile. The visual impact of the pancakes is delightful. We highly recommend the English breakfast and the pancakes. Do not miss out on this place. The staff is welcoming and friendly. What more could you ask for.

The prices are high but you get a size for it. Nothing for everyday though.

We had a savoury and a sweet option. The savoury option with veg tasted like a pizza with sweet dough, it didn’t do it for me. The sweet cinnamon pancake was absolutely delicious, though. if you love pancakes, you should drop by, it's 100% vegan.

Mr Stacks has a menu divided into savory and sweet pancakes. The savory menu comes with two and a protein (like a burger or taco where the buns/tortilla are pancakes) and the sweet with three and fruit, drizzle, and cotton candy.

English Breakfast is filling. Beyond the pancakes, the shah sage is also well done. Sadly, the white beans taste like something you’d get in a can and the “eggs” are (literally) inedibly salty. The Dutch Apple comes with a variety of toppings, and while the pancakes weren’t overly dense, I really had hoped for more maple syrup (I ended up using the agave on the table).
This is a great place to try decadent vegan pancakes, but frustratingly the ingredients can be unbalanced.

I'm a big pancake fan so was looking forward to this place. I had the chocolate hazelnut stack which looked amazing but sadly disappoint in taste. Frankly, I don't know what to call it but it's not pancakes. They also screwed up my order (and didn't offer compensation) and my coffee was lukewarm. Overall it's great to support vegan businesses, but this place felt quite touristy. Also, most of their sweet dishes seemed to have coconut in them, which is a shame (but totally subjective of course). I wouldn't come back.

Amazing fluffy thick pancakes with a great variety of toppings. We had the full english one and a chocolate fruity one. Both delicious and great value because we couldnt even eat it all - even though we wanted to!
