Trusted Organics - Edit
I've shopped in MOM's for years. It's the only grocery chain in the area where all the produce is organic. No sorting thru the fruit and veggies to separate conventional from the organics.
Read moreMy all time favorite is the DC location. Not just because it just happens to be located in my neighborhood, but because they have an in-store food & juice bar where you can select from a delicious assortment of steam bowls, soups, salads, sandwiches and juices (all organic). It's my 'go to' place for vegan and whole food, plant based choices. They call it Naked Lunch. If you do stop by, be sure to check out their Cauliflower Steak. It's um, um, good.
Last but not least a shout-out to MOM's staff/personnel. They are all courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating. They make sure your shopping experience is a pleasure.

NE awesomeness in natural food store! - Edit
This is the most spacious feeling natural food store local chain in DC, and I love it. It is part of a chain of great food stores that you can rely upon for healthful choices and diverse veg food eating.
Read moreThey have ridiculously spacious aisles where 2 carts and people can comfortably fit! There is everything you can imagine from produce to chocolate to bars to supplements to coffee to wine to frozen goods to gluten free to raw to baked goods to baking ingredients to household cleaning to companion animal needs to non dairy milk to juice to gift items to toiletries to whatever! I love the bulk items and herbs the most, and then the beautiful produce with a local focus. Fresh is the name of the game, and at affordable prices, better than some other small chain markets.
Even better- Naked Lunch?! After of before or instead of shopping, pick up a salad ordered to your liking, check out a seasonal special, order soup it a freshly pressed juice at a price steal! It's 100% organic at Naked Lunch and 100% vegetarian. It is so good and the prices are fairly reasonable, but for organic- they are awesome!
This gem of a store is out of the way for now... From most parts of DC, you may wish to go elsewhere, but I will go here now instead of other ones. So many great choices!
