Yummy vegan option

Yummy vegan option

Although there was only one starter and one main dish that was vegan, they were both so delicious! We had the vegan Aubergine dish and as a starter the vegan chowder. Absolutely delicious! They are also able to make the Dahl vegan. I wish they’d offered more vegan choices, given how tasty everything was! Friendly service as well!

Good atmosphere, excellent food

Not many vegan options, but what we had was excellent. Celeriac steak with lovely sauce and great veg, and peanut fritters with brilliant remoulade. Small restaurant with a cosy atmosphere and friendly owners. More in the way of traditional NI food than other places we went to in Belfast.

Cracking tasting menu

I've never had a vegan tasting menu, but went here recently with family as they heard from a friend (who is a manager there) they've now started this. It was so nice to have a tasting menu and to be able to enjoy a meal with family (who eat meat). The food was great- artichoke soup, cider poached pear, butternut squash with pearl barley, then vegan ice cream with toffee apple crumble.
The manager said they're also going to add to the menu a vegan red and white wine. Would recommend if you want a local restaurant with great food and service!

(have tried several times to upload a pic of the menu but can't!)

not so vegan friendly

Really lovley atmosphere and beautiful location. But unfortunatly despite having being advertised as having vegan options, its actually just option. Not fully grasping veganisim eaither ( thinking honey is not vegan) and being served bread later to be told isn't vegan (after requesting vegan options of the vegetarian menu) slightly disappointed but the food that was served was absoulutly delicious and although we all had the same/only option i would recommend .

Pros: friendly staff. good quality food. great atmospher

Cons: very limited options. not very clear on vegan/vege
