Lovely place - Edit
I love this restaurant. It's one of my favorites! The Buddha bowls are soooo delicious and the cakes are to die for! 😍 The place is decorated in a sort of ghetto-chic way and gives off hipster vibes but I definitely recommend it.

es gibt immer eine tolle Auswahl an Kuchen, Suppen und anderen spannenden Gerichten und Getränken; die Leute, die dort arbeiten sind auch in Stressphasen meist sehr nett...

Vegan food prepped with love - Edit
We stopped here for take away lunch on our last day on holiday. Everything sounded so good on the menu so it was hard too choose.
Read moreWe ordered the salat bowl which was fresh and healthy and well seasoned, so tasty. I loved everything in it. Also ordered all 3 cakes they had in display as they all looked incredible. Which they were. Bananabread, blueberry muffin from wholegrains, and some brioche bread filled with a sweet nut paste. Very friendly service also, if I had stayed longer I would have tried many more things. :)
Wish I could go back tomorrow. Definitely worth a little detour. ;)
Pros: Fresh and healthy food, Great service, Lots of choice
Cons: Lots of choice ;), No coffee on the go in a carton cup ;) , They are not in Belgium

Yummy food in a small alternative café - Edit
At Moehren Milieu they offer very creative and tasty dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. Good value for money (not cheap, but quality food, freshly prepared). You have to try their breakfast options, cakes and smoothies! Coffee is rather poor and the service rather slow.

to try and to improve - Edit
very positive first Impression, nice atmosphere and great music. the food is good, the drinks ok , the desserts delicious. the staff at the counter slow and disorganised, they should be less cool-more helpful with customers. inside there is a small shop. Overall, to recommend - but get rid of the bees in the shop!!
Read morePros: location and music , deserts and outside seating , hot drinks and prices
Cons: staff better organisation , bees inside the shop (lots of)

Cozy & delicious! - Edit
I finally tried the Möhren Milieu and loved it! Cozy, upcycled interior, and a great menu with different breakfast options, sandwiches, soup etc, from which it was very hard to pick just one meal! I finally had the waffle breakfast and a turmeric latte and loved both. Also took a blueberry scone to go, which was so so yum! Really looking forward to coming back :)

It's already been a while since my visit to Möhrenmilieu but I still remember how much I enjoyed it! Fantastically fresh food, prepared with care, friendly service and a super cozy space. Plus, their playlist was great on the day I was there.

Only all vegan place and great - Edit
Try the little brunch buffet to order for 2 people or more. It's not cheap, but it's the best you can get. Anywhere! :)

Great all-vegan option in Mainz - Edit
This is a lovely, all-vegan restaurant located on a quiet street in Mainz. The menus are in German only but the staff speak English and are very friendly. They were knowledgeable about allergens (i.e., gluten) and confirmed items before serving. I ordered the scone with a delicious vegan butter and homemade marmalade and schoko-crème.

The cake was delicious! - Edit
Had a bit of time while changing the train and figured out that this place is very close from the central station. Even with a heavy suitcase it was a quick and easy way. Unfortunately, they were closing in few min (the opening times were different due to the christmas holiday season I guess) so I could just order a cake to go in a hurry. The place looked very cozy with furnitures made of recycled/upcycled materials. The tonka cream cake (I think..) was absolutely tasty.. never had such a creamy and dense cake! Quickly disappeared while I was waiting for the train. Would love to come back with more time and try out their savory dishes as well.

All You Need Is Here! - Edit
I am rare with 5cows, but this place is 'original' and deserves 5cows. Eco-friendly interior, good variety of food. From breakfast, burgers or wraps and daily Curry's&Co. We really enjoyed the two hours we've spent there.

Promising - Edit
The first vegan place in Mainz. This is a lovely little place with very friendly staff, good hours, and convenient access to the train station. The food was a bit mixed in quality, but this may be a matter of time and of specific food choices; I'm definitely going to try it a few more times. They also have a store, and run a food-truck, neither of which I've tried.

Cons: food was mixed, small menu: more cafe than restauarant
