Mina-stry Of Magic

Now well into double figures (and probably nearing triple) when it comes to buffets, I’ve become attuned to the subtle early signs that a location is going to be excellent—even before I begin ploughing my way through their spread. The most telling of these is the capacity of the coffee cups: if they’re a halfway decent size, the likelihood is that you’re on to a winner. Likewise, the free availability of milk alternatives is a great portent that usually indicates good times ahead.
These two indicators were checked off instantly, which delighted me no end. There were also numerous other, far more overt clues to the brilliance to come. One was the sheer vastness of both the buffet and the dining space. Everything oozed a sense of easy elegance brought on by tasteful décor, high ceilings, and a beautiful outlook. Essentially, what I’m trying to tell you is that this was an absolute doozy of a breakfast.
The magnitude of options across the sprawling sections was almost a little bewildering at times. Still, finding the opportunity to sample and savour everything on offer was a challenge I was more than willing to undertake. And it wasn’t simply about having plenty of choice—everything was backed up by genuinely outstanding quality.
Picking a single favourite proved far too onerous. Each station had something to rave about, whether it was the nutty pearl barley, the beautifully tempered chole masala, or the luscious bircher muesli. There wasn’t a single misstep; it was a steady procession of excellence from start to finish.
My only regret was the finite amount of time I had for this visit—a crying shame, as it was particularly special, exceeding my expectations despite them already being pretty high. A repeat visit was firmly planned well before I reluctantly tore myself away from my table.
