Cozy café (with cats) - Edit
This is a small café that houses a couple of cats. It's called a cat café, but it is nothing like those cat cafés in Asia. Here, the rights of the cats are top priority! Accordingly, there are a couple of rules. Basically, customers should leave the cats alone and not touch them unless they come to you. Also, you need to be quiet.
Read moreThere are currently only 3 cats, and when we visited, they were all sleeping in a safe distance to humans. It felt like a regular café - you hardly noticed the cats.
The café offers coffee, tea, and similar beverages. I like that they made some of their teas themselves, e.g. with fresh mint, fresh ginger or fresh lemon. A couple of the drinks can be veganized with plant milk, although that costs 50 cents extra... Soy milk was listed on the menu, but only oat milk was available.
The café itself is cozy, calm, and warm. Prices are a bit higher, but profits are supposedly used for the wellbeing of the cats.

This is an interesting place. They have several cats which are running around in the cafe. They also have several vegan options on the menu, which are clearly marked. Everything I tried was good.

The cats were very cute and I loved that their story was on the menu. The interior is nicely decorated with lots of cushions. However, the portions were a bit small and we waited very long for our food and drinks.

Man wurde herzlichst begrüßt, hat schnell einen Platz zugewiesen bekommen und dann kamen auch schon die Katzen um einen kennenzulernen. Die Katzen haben sich auch viel streicheln lassen.

Im Großen und Ganzen kann ich einen Besuch des Katzencafes nur empfehlen und ich selbst werde auch nochmals dahin gehen

A great cozy cafe. Many items on the menu are vegan and the owner is very nice. Good place for lunch with sandwiches and veggies with dips. Great coffe and cake too! The cats are treated with respect and have enough space to retreat.

I absolutely adored this place!! Very friendly cats (best to get a seat by the window, they love looking outside) and very clean environment. The staff was nice, helpful, and spoke English. The only downside was I ordered a chai tea latte with oat milk (a very vegan friendly place as well!) and it tasted like water. I would still certainly come back for the cats and to try some food items. My friend had the Mediterranean style sandwich and loved it. Overall, totally worth supporting this business and the cats it fosters.

Lovely cat cafe - Edit
I really love this comfy little cat cafe in the middle of the city. They have four awesome and really cute cats, which sometimes like to be stroke and sometimes just sleep somewhere and are interesting to watch. It's a really cool place for this cats and its nice to see, that they are in good care. They have a room for themselves as well, so they don't need to be with the customers all of the time if they are in need for privacy.
Read moreThe serve some really good coffee, which you can get with plant milk and a lot of the menu is vegan or can be made vegan, if you ask for it. They have some cakes as well, including at least one vegan.
The seats are nice and comfy and the staff is really friendly, even the prices are fair. Its a nice and quiet place and you even get free Wi-Fi.
I totally love every visit there.

The coffee is not the best but satisfactory. I’ve not had any savory food, only the vegan cakes here, but they are gooood. They have a chocolate and apple crumble, both are rustic, no frills scrumminess. I like the policy on the cats, which is simple: don’t be a jerk, it’s not a petting zoo. They ask customers, via written mission statement on the tables, to respect the kitties and explain it’s pricier as the extra money goes toward sheltering the cats.

I had lunch at Milou and very much enjoyed my visit. I had a latte with soy milk and the sandwich with vegan cold cut instead of cheese. I ate at the cafe with a couple of omnis whom enjoyed the brownie (non-vegan). I would give the food alone a 4/5, but it was the cats and the relaxed atmosphere that made the over-all experience a 5/5 for me.
