nice relaxing cafe with lots of vego options - Edit

I called into Mild last evening and had their vegan massaman curry with brown rice ... the quality and quantity of the curry was very good ... very extensive vego menu and next time I think I will try one of the delicious looking burgers ... Mild has a very nice relaxing feel and the staff were friendly and helpful

Pros: lots of delicious vegan options

Cons: not a vegan restaurant

Delicious, very friendly staff - Edit

I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. it is cozy and the staff is really friendly. They are many breakfast options for vegans, oatmeal or boiled rice come without sugar, which I appreciate. The fruit platter is huge. They also sell lots of vegan Cookies for take away.
The only thing I didn't like was the plastic cups for shakes, smoothies and "Muesli"seeds which are consumed in the restaurant. no need for plastic here.

Pros: huge fruit platter, friendly staff

Cons: Too much plastic used

Great breakfast spot! - Edit

Soooooo yummy! Came here for breakfast and had a HUGE bowl of mixed fruit (all fantastically fresh) sprinkled with done yummy granola with black sesame seeds in it & finished with soy milk. Really tasty. Lovely ambience too and huge vegan-friendly menu for lunch/dinner options too. Soy ice cream and vegan cookies sold in little shop attached to restaurant, too. And all good value. Highly recommended!

Pros: Great selection , fresh ingredients, soy ice cream available

YUM! - Edit

The Penang yellow curry with avocado was delicious! Portions for the curries are big enough for 2 and at 80baht are a bargain.
Location is down Sri Poon Soi 1, just past the first intersection on your right (if coming from the exterior road of old town).
Extensive menu and great value.

Pros: Cheap, Big Portions, Delicious!

Lovely place! - Edit

Really nice atmosphere here, the staff is friendly and usually smiling, the Fried Rice my boyfriend ordered was not only cheap but delicious and filling, so was my soup! (35 Baht for Fried Rice, 40 Baht for the soup)

They know what vegan means and they have a lot of vegan options plus vegan cookies and ice cream I guess? (says soy ice cream, not sure whether all of it is vegan though).

I tried a cookie once (all of them are vegan although the tags only say that one is egg and milk free). Unfortunately the cookie was a bit dry so I'm more stoked about the food.

It's also very charming that you have to shake a baby rattle to catch the waiters attention. Really easy solution!

Have been here twice and will come back again.

Pros: Nice staff, Delicious food, Inexpensive

excellent place - Edit

This restaurant is easy to find on a quite soi set in a lovely garden but it's a must to wear mosquito repellent. Extensive menu, good variety to choose from, western, Thai, smoothies, soy ice cream, cakes, cookies, prices are very reasonable too. The owner was really nice and very friendly, didn't have to wait too long. Food was delicious, generous portions. Nice touch with a babies rattle on the table - just shake to catch to waiter's attention. Will definitely be going back here again.

Pros: great choice, tasty food, good pice

Cons: mosquitos

Good food and a lovely garden atmosphere - Edit

Nice little cafe which serves both Western style dishes (mainly breakfast) as well as Thai food. The Thai food is properly spicy, which I love - if you don't like that, be sure to tell them no spice! Prices are good, most Thai dishes are between 40-75 baht. Also sells homemade soy icecream and homemade cookies which are almost as expensive as a normal meal(35 baht). Be forewarned though: the female owner can be quite grumpy and not very accomodating - but catch her on a good day and you'll be fine!(I never had a problem with the male owner)

Pros: Good, properly spicy Thai food, Fresh, Lovely garden atmosphere

Cons: Owner can be quite grumpy

Good food in a nice atmosphere - Edit

I'm glad I found this nice little place in a quiet street, especially because of their homemade soy ice cream. It was such a delight to have vegan ice cream in this heat for such a fair price in many different fruit sorts. They also offer a lot of vegan options on their menu and have a solid Wifi-connection.

favourite one in Chiang Mai - Edit

We had visited many cafes in Chiang Mai, but this one became our favourite. Serves a large selection of dishes with tofu and brown rice (and I'm a big fan of brown rice), stir fried vegetables, soups, salads, pasta, sticky rice. All vegetables are fresh, they cook them after your order.
If you come for the first time, they will give you a menu with western food (which also has some good options), ask for the one with thai food or find it yourself at one of the tables.
Banana-coconut-cashew nut smoothie is extremely delicious and full, reminded me of ice-cream. Banana spring rolls (5 pieces) were served with some fresh sliced fruits, vegetable spring rolls were very good too. Servings are quite big and very tasty. This cafe also has ginger and herbal tea, which is rare in Thailand. You can buy here some fresh fruits as well and some cookies (with dairy). The place is very quiet, it's nice to seat in the garden under the trees.

Pros: excellent food, quiet place, many vegan options
