I wouldn’t say it has a lot of options, but for Japan I guess it is. There a small vegan section in one aisle with vegan egg, instant ramen, soy meat (aka tvp) etc. there are a couple of soy yoghurts, fresh produce, basics like pasta and tomato sauce. No bread (Japanese bread is almost never suitable for vegans so just don’t even bother). Use the Google Translate app to help decipher ingredients if you don’t speak Japanese as English ingredients aren’t listed on anything. #Veganuary

Very helpful, best selection in Japan! - Edit
The best choice for vegans in a supermarket we've found travelling Japan. Great flavours of soy milk including mango and vanilla ice cream! We got carbonara sauce, Bolognese, soy chunks, vegan egg, soy milks and Coolish Green ice cream.
