Serves meat, vegan options available. Mobile truck selling Vietnamese food since 2010 - check webpage for schedule. Offesr banh mi sandwiches, tacos, and bun noodle bowls. Could get veggies without the meat. Reported closed July 2020.
Still reigns as the best banh mi in L.A. I would give this truck five stars if Happy Cow would let me. Get the five spice fries / Saigon fries with tofu and vegan sriracha aioli too. Tacos could be better if they used organic tortillas from Kernel of Truth. Last I tried them, they tasted like cheap white corn tortillas you get from a Sysco truck. Those tortillas are made from wood pulp and GMO corn.
I visited Mandoline Grill at this year's vegan street food in North Hollywood and was thoroughly impressed - definitely the best bahn mi I've had. The flavors meshed perfectly together. The tofu taco was also very good.
I've only ever eaten at Mandoline Grill when they've been at the Vegan Beer and Food Festivals. They serve only their vegan options while at the beer fest and I always get their banh mi sandwich. It's that good.
