Food was great, a bit too much service - Edit
I was there with my daughter and we were served really well. The food was great and the only problem is the fake names dishes, so we mixed the food. But Salads, Hummus and the Aubergine dish were great.

High-quality and high-end food for special occasions. Would be the perfect place for a date, birthday, anniversary, etc. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
Read moreWe had the market menu lunch (min. 2 pers., £38 pp.), which included three courses. The highlight was the bitter leaf salad and mushroom ravioli, which was the best ravioli I’ve ever had, better even than any non-vegan ravioli I’ve had in Italy. Very good value for three courses of gourmet food for the price.
For dessert we had the chocolate rosmary tart and ginger sticky toffee. Both were good, though I don’t think you could taste either rosemary or ginger, and the cherry compote was unnecessarily sweet with the already sweet tart.
Going back I’d order the bitter leaf salad and musroom ravioli à la carte.

A cute, cosy place. The French toast options for brunch were creative and it was difficult to choose which one to get, but I went with the Tiramisu. The mousse got a little sweet toward the end, but overall I quite enjoyed it. Some of the menu items were on the more expensive side, but I think the French toasts were good value for money.

The pistachio and cherry brioche was delicious and paired really nicely with the mint tea. I did get jealous of the full mallow breakfast served next to me which looked incredible but at £20 I was put off but it did look worth the money

Such a pretty breakfast, lunch and dinner spot, in a beautiful old building. Great menu with loads of fresh vegetables and seasonal inspired dishes. I didn’t have much time but they sorted me out with a lovely salad

Updated 10/06/25: great breakfast - either English or mezze, which is a bit different with padron peppers and pickles. Roast potatoes are so good!
Updated 26/07/25: went to meet two new acquaintances , never disappoints. Menu was changed again, regularly updated for the season, brilliant. Mushroom ravioli is a step above - fantastic gastronomy! Had charred leek bharta again, can’t get enough.

Great choices, helpful staff, nice setting - Edit
Went to Mallow last night for the second time and really enjoyed it again. My partner has recently been advised to avoid gluten and they were very helpful talking us through the menu, which is marked well anyway, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
Read moreWe shared everything and ate ajvar and rye bread, padron peppers, spiced carrot beetroot and herbs, chips and pilau. All fantastic (though actually my homemade chips might just be better than theirs😄) with a range of strong but balanced flavours and generous portions.
And then - a pistachio tres leches cake, which was one of my favourite ever puddings. So luxurious but well balanced too.
It's not the cheapest meal you'll find, but the cooking and menu choices are great and it's a lovely place to have a special dinner.

I've been only once and ordered only 3 small plates so I can't comment on the whole (surprisingly large) menu. But the mushroom croquettes and the pea and mint tortelloni were fabulous, as well as the "humble" fried padron peppers with tahini. I had nibbled something a couple of hours before so I was too full to have anything else. That's a shame because all available options are very appealing. I need to visit again...

Our new favourite in London - Edit
As Mildred's is our usual port of call when in London but we were attending the Young Vic, we decided to try Mallow. We were delighted with the entire visit, from the location and warm welcome, to the friendly, helpful service from Kat, the relaxed ambience, and the delicious food and drink. My companion pronounced the food to be even better than Mildred's.

Arrived 30 mins before our booking but were seated immediately. Friendly and helpful service from both greeter and waiter. Food came out promptly (a sweet berry brioch and a savoury mushroom brioche); neither my wife nor I can recall having a tastier meal.

Dining solo on the first night of my stay in London I made an early reservation as I knew I’d be jet-lagged. I made a mistake (in my head) on the time and arrived an hour early and they still seated me.

I ordered too much and was sad to not have room enough for trying a dessert (I did ask waiter if he thought I was ordered too much, next time I’ll trust my instincts). But the loveliest touch of the evening was when they acknowledged my 10 Year Veganniversary which I’d mentioned on my reservation, with a special delicious treat with candle.
I loved the whole meal, the ambiance, the service, the wine. Cannot say enough good things about this Mallow location.

I was a solo traveller and they made room for me on a busy night. The food options were good but I wasn’t blown away with flavour. What I loved was that you could tell it wasn’t just vegan eaters in there. Loved how the business marketing is seeds that you can plant to grow a Mallow - very good!!

Incredible food with lots of different flavors and textures. The menu changes periodically but I ordered the oyster mushroom & hispi skewer with celeriac purée, the saffron carrot pilau, and for dessert the pistachio tres leches. All of them were superb, I will be back the next time I'm in London.
