Three course meal! - Edit
We came here for lunch today. $6 for main meal with rice, plus a small bowl of soup and dessert
Read moreWe had red curry and prahok ktis. The curry was nice and fragrant, the prahok rich and flavoursome. Nice to have red rice a change too! Soup was just a broth, but had a really good flavour. Dessert was (I think!) tapioca and pumpkin in warm sweet coconut milk - surprisingly tasty.
Nice little cafe with friendly staff. Quite a big menu with a variety of local food, and also some burgers, fritters and salads
Pros: Fully vegan, Good food choices, Reasonable value for money

Try the Khmer Food - Edit
This modest and quiet place does really good food! It has a really nice setting with inside seating and outside garden seating. I tried a couple of the dishes including a banana flower salad but the Khmer curry was what really impressed me. Loved it. Lovely staff and cheap too.

Fantastico - Edit

Beautiful food and atmosphere - Edit
What a peaceful, tranquil place this restaurant is, set within a yoga and meditation centre and looking out to a luscious green garden. We could hear the calming sound of chanting nearby, and we felt a lovely and calm energy. The menu has traditional Khmer food as well as a page for burgers, but we were there for traditional fare. We ordered the banana flower salad, bok choy and garlic, sauteed okra (in the best sauce and also comes with pickled vegetables), brown rice, the dessert and the famous Amok dish - every single thing was so delicious and we could taste the freshness and love that went into the food. We almost licked our plates clean, it was so tasty!! Not only is the food amazing, but you're supporting a great cause by dining here too. You leave here feeling wholesome in so many ways. Definitely go here if you get the chance!

Worth the visit - Edit
It was a bit out of our way, but food was really tasty and I love seeing so many Cambodian dishes and not having to ask about ingredients because it's all amazingly vegan. The meal sets at $6 are very well priced, tasty soup, great main and delicious local dessert.

Out of the way but - Edit
Worth a visit. Everything is satisfying and they even have sado-masochistic options like bitter gourd that you’ll want to throw up later when drunk but must hold in for the supreme nutrition

Traditional Cambodian - Edit
We have had some very nice and fresh traditional Cambodian dishes. The place has also yoga classes and the money they make from the restaurant goes to help children.

New location, same great food - Edit
Stopped here once when I first arrived in SR, next thing I know the restaurant is missing. Took me a while to realize they moved further south outside of town. Went back to the new location and had another delicious meal. Probably my second favorite vegan food in SR.

Maybe it was a bad night - Edit
I put 5 stars so the rating does not drop, hopefully the owner sees this, today must have been an off night for them as our food was not the best. Filled us up but fairly bland. I ordered the Bbq beef and received soy bits covered in gravy with a stack of rice. It was mainly a bowl of rice for $4.5
Read moreThe Khmer amok wasn't available so we got the curry bowl. Not much curry, mainly just noodles and veges and nothing that was too flavourful.

Hello Steven,
Read moreThank you so much for your comment. We are deeply sorry for the bad experience you had with us. It might have been a bad night as you said, as we usually get good comments about the staff and the food.
If it's not too late, we would love to invite you to have a free lunch or dinner at our restaurant in the new location.
Thank you so much for your understanding and for putting 5 stars anyways. Our restaurant is part of a NGO that promotes peace, arts and yoga in Cambodia. Mahob Buos vegan restaurant is a social business that allows us to lead our projets without counting only on donations. We provide free yoga classes and free vegan meals to young people from others NGOs and we also promote veganism in Cambodia.
Thank you so much for your support.
Warmest regards,
Thyda

Best Meal So Far in Siem Reap - Edit
A cost, casual restaurant in the heart of Siem Reap. I ordered the Classic Amok made with tofu instead of meat. The sauce lemongrass -infused sauce makes the dish. Delicious.
Read moreThe herbal teas are refreshing, and you can purchase their restaurant-made teas in their product section.
For dessert, I had what the call the sweet potato dessert consisting of coconut cream with sweet potato. A warm creamy, delightful dessert.

Perfect for the hungry vegan - Edit
Went there twice in a row for dinner...First time I arrived I wasn't overly hungry so I just got the curry with noodles which did the job perfectly and tasted amazing. Second time I saved some appetite and got the $6 option which came with a mushroom soup, a traditional Khmer dish in a bananaleaf & rice as well as a dessert...Not entirely sure what exactly the dessert was (some kind of banana rice soup/porridge) but everything was delicious and reasonably priced. I would totally recommend this place

Amazing food! A very clean restaurant and nicely decorated. Across the street from a nice grocery store is convenient too. I got the mushroom banana leaf fritters and the tumeric pancake. Quality, well presented, vegan local food. I'll be back soon

Lovely place to go - Edit
We came here and got the Khmer sets. Starts with a delicious refreshing soup, followed by the curry that's been cooking for 24hours, and it was so tasty, then the sweet and interesting warm dessert. I enjoyed it all very much and it was a great price. The ice teas are a very interesting flavour too. Happy we came here to try something different. I love that they support feeding kids who need it. By eating here you help contribute.
