Triple Check it's actually Vegan - Edit
Had a portabello sandwich, asked for it vegan but it came out with cheese on it. They said it was vegan cheese but expect to pay a lot more for the vegan bun and cheese. It was very oily, the whole bun was soaked in oil.
Read moreMy brother ordered a diet pop and tofu rice dish.
His rice dish was soupy, insultingly watery. The pop was flat too. There was supposed to be mushrooms in it but very few mushrooms in the dish, he counted about 3.
Waiter seemed upset to be working. Utterly disappointing. This place used to be so much better.

More than just fries and salad - Edit
Nice to have more than one option. There’s a section on the back of the menu for vegetarian/vegan dishes. It included beyond burger, portabella Sammie, tofu/rice. I got the portabella and had it veganized with vegan cheese and bun- make sure that is abundantly clear when ordering- came out with regular cheese. I just said “make it vegan” instead of itemizing the substitutes one by one… the waitress plugs in your order at the table on some electronic thing so just say both cuz i think she just clicked on the bun and might not even realized there was another vegan substitute.

Not my experience at all. Soupy vegan rice and tofu, veganized portabello burger was greasy as hell. The pretzel didn't taste right. Very disappointing because when it opened it was really great.

I didn’t try the rice/tofu. You are right on the greasy porto. I just dabbed it off. I just thought it was refreshing to have a spot to go in the evenings in the area that had a vegan section of the menu. I’m new to town and was delighted to find Elys and village Pharmacy, but it looks like slim pickins to get a decent meal and a beer on a Saturday night

Just Okay - Edit
I was glad to find a place with a vegan burger so I could get a meal with some protein but it was nothing special. They also brought me a side of fries (which appeared to have non-vegan cheese) that I did not ask for and did not put the vegan cheese I requested on the burger. My boyfriend (not veg) was not impressed with the food either.

Vegan Options - Edit
They have four vegan options on their menu, Portabella mushroom, potato and broccoli pierogies, impossible burger, and a Gyro made with impossible meat slices.
Read moreI asked for the Portabella mushroom to be cooked without the marinade and they were happy to grill it for me. They also made the greens without cheese, and I paid extra for a vegan bun. I had the roasted edamame as my side dish. They also have a strawberry vegetarian salad with strawberries and nuts, I've had it before without the cheese. It's nice to have a restaurant that has more than one vegan option.
Pros: 4 vegan options, Willing to specially cook it for me.
Cons: Up charge for vegan bun.

Out of what I wanted - Edit
I was excited to try this place, but the first time the wait was too long for us and the second time they didn’t have the option I wanted, and I didn’t love what I ended up getting. Will try again though and update!

Great to go out to eat with meat eaters. Plenty to choose from! - Edit
I've always enjoyed the Magic Tree, even from before I was vegan. I live out of town now but have come home for a visit and went with family. It was great that it catered to everyone. The vegan meals we had were the Gyro salad which was excellent, perogies were nice but very stodgy with some "greens" on top that were pathetic (would have been better to have half the portion with a side salad) "Macaroni" and cheese was terrible (it wasn't even Macaroni noodles) A little bit expensive but you do get plenty of food for your money. All-in-all I would happily return.

Vegan Options - Edit
I would never have guessed this place would cater to vegans, but they had four options clearly labeled on their menu, and were helpful with additions or substitutions. The food, however, was a bit meh. The vegan burger was rather sad, and the vegan mac 'n' cheese tasted oddly sweet. The place was also very loud and packed on a Saturday night, and it took about 30 minutes to get our food. This place is great if you're traveling with omnivores or picky eaters.

Great pub and vegan food - Edit
My wife and I were in town and found this restaurant. It’s a nice sit down bar with plenty of tables outside of the bar area. Lots of beers and cocktails, 4 vegan menu items (impossible burger, broccoli pierogi, lettuce cups, and mushroom burger). We would definitely recommend the mushroom burger and lettuce cups that we had. They also had tons of sides including vegan Mac n cheese, edamame, and asparagus.

Had the cauliflower wings and an impossible burger with tempeh bacon. They have vegan Mac and cheese, vegan cheese, a black bean burger, and other vegan options. Everything myself or my family had was fantastic.

Started with the salt and vinegar edamame. Then the Vegan Mac n Cheese which was so creamy, and the impossible burger with the maple “bacon” and tomato jam. Had to get a couple huge pretzels to go.

Knowledgeable and helpful - Edit
We got the edamame, justa vegan burnt with the maple seitan, vegan cheese, and vegan Mayo. We also got the cauliflower steak with a side salad (oil and vinegar as dressing), charred green beans, and sautéed mushrooms. Everything was really good. Our server was able to help and made every accommodation necessary to fit our lifestyle.

Got carry out and ordered the justa vegan burger with vegan cheese and vegan mayo. Absolutely superb and didn’t taste like it got any less attention than the non-vegan food 💚
