Excellent food! - Edit
They have a fully vegan menu with all sort of pizzas, pastas, deserts... I tried the involtini di zucchine, the supplì with turmeric and mushroom, the vegan carbonara: everything tasted wonderful! Highly recommended!

NOT VEGAN - Edit
This is not a vegan restaurant. When I went there, they were selling/giving away packaged biscuits that contained eggs. I sought this restaurant out because I was told it was vegan and I didn't notice this until right before I left; if I had noticed earlier, I would not have eaten there. When I pointed this out to one of the employees, she just shrugged and said "it's gluten-free."

Pizza needs more flavor - Edit
We got the curry pizza and the angoli (I probably spelled that wrong, it had spinach, artichoke, and cashew cream). We were pretty disappointed with the flavors. The service was amazing and they even offered us some free samples which were delicious. If we go back we will order pasta instead.

Not worth the hype - Edit
The menu is very confusing and the pizza extremely disappointing. Credit card wasn’t accepted. Wasn’t worth the walk or the money.

Fantastic - Edit
Excellent 100% vegan food paired with an exceptionally friendly, fast & helpful service!! I ate a vegan bowl rústica which consisted of fried potato pieces & many vegetables: fried champignons, cooked zucchini, raw rucula, radicchio, avocado slices & field salad. The plate was served on a beautiful blue plate with a pink vegan mayonnaise dip. On demand the waitress brought me balsamic vinegar. They played relaxing piano jazz. On the walls we enjoyed creative colorful paintings. They also promote special events like a vegetarian sushi party or a pizza party. In general they offer various gluten free pizzas baked in a stone oven & they also provide a daily menu. I liked especially that they offer alcohol free heineken beer!! This place is definitely recommendable and I will be back soon!! Thanks for supporting our animal friends on their path to liberation!

Madre Terra spaghetti carbonara - Edit
The best pasta I have ever had. It was delicious. I would go back to Rome just for this dish. Their gluten free pizza, not so much. Pretty horrible, and I am not sure why they chose to only offer gluten free as they had a wood fired oven and if it were not for the dough, I think the pizza would have been delicious. The servers did not speak a ton of English and did not appear to have balsamic vinegar, which was odd, though not catastrophic.

Cons: Not a lot of English spoken, Only gluten free pizza offered

Very kind staff! - Edit
We didn’t check what time they would be open so we went there and they would only open in two hours. They were very kind to open early so we wouldn’t have to wait all that time!! The pizzas are huge, we couldn’t finish it all!

Interesting restaurant - Edit
My aunts took me to this restaurant for dinner. Even though they are not vegan, they enjoyed their orders. I think it might be a little bit pricey but I liked my dishes. One of my cousins ordered a mushroom and fried potatoes pizza omg! I ate most of it too haha.

To avoid! - Edit
We went to try this vegan restaurant and were very disappointed. The starters and dishes are really not tasty, the kind of food that gives a false impression about vegan food. The parmigiana I ordered was cold inside, indicating that it has been taken from the fridge and heated a little bit. It was really the first time I didn't eat well in Italy, but it seems that it does happen... at the Madre Terra!
Read moreWe didn't appreciate neither that the waitress brought us twice some pizza bread slices (event though we didn't finish the first basket and we didn't ask for this) and then we discovered on the bill that we had to pay them 6 euros. All in all, a negative experience that can be avoided, especially given all the other good vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Rome!
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Food taste, Not fresh, swindle

Truly amazing! - Edit
You really have to visit this little diamond! The food is really very good and you can both feel and see that the food is of high quality. Perhaps a little bit pricy but it's truly worth it. I took one primi and one segundi and was very pleased with my order and got saturated. The portions can variate, mine was normal but my boyfriends segundi was large.

Glad they opened!!! - Edit
One of the best vegan restaurant in Rome.
Read moreThe menu offers many choices, most of them also gluten free. I found every dish original.
They serves Pizza made with buckwheat flour or rice flour, it is very thin (as Roman Pizza is) and unbelievably tasty. The topping is well chosen and it includes home made cheese.
The staff is friendly. Since we were the last table of the night, she offered us a way bigger portion of a side we ordered. She didn't want to waste the food left from the night.
We'll come back!

Upscale vegan greatness - Edit
The best vegan restaurant in all of Italy. Trendy/upscale, on the pricier side, but so good. The chef came out with an off-menu dish for all the tables to try that nearly made us not order dessert from being so full. But we did and could have used a wheel barrow ride home!

BEST pizza in Italy! - Edit
BEST, by far, pizza in all of Italy! I'm completely serious. I wish I could rate this restaurant an 8 out of 5 because the food was so incredible and surpasses what a 5 is.
Read moreEvery dish was mouth-wateringly delicious. The pizza sauces were delectable, with a perfect balance of every flavor. If only my tongue could talk; I can't describe how each bite was a symphony. The people here truly care about their food and making it wonderful. They are also so friendly! They usually have an English-speaking server on hand but if they don't you can point at absolutely ANYTHING and you will be quite pleased! (Really, I ended up trying all of the pizzas during our stay in Roma; they were all to die for.) ALL of the pizzas are gluten-free and each of the three varieties of crusts were spectacular. Definitely not one to miss!
