Soooo delicious and beautiful setting - Edit
This restaurant is part of a food court and is a few minutes walk from the train station. This worked out perfectly so we came here as soon as we arrived. The outdoor seating was a lovely setting and the general staff were really helpful explaining how it all worked.
Read moreWe arrived around 2.15 and based on some of the previous reviews ordered 3 main dishes to share between the two of us. You get given a little extra object that beeps and flashes when your food is ready. This ended up being quite a lot of food but I was really glad as it meant we got to try 3 Slovak dishes! The sheep cheese dumplings, cabbage dumplings and schnitzel with potato salad.
The food was incredible! So fresh and flavourful with my favourite being the sheep cheese dumplings.

Vegan food served out of the container kitchen outside. There were two local dishes veganized and some other options which I didn't really look at as I wanted to taste local food (from memory they were things like ramen, poke bowls etc (please correct me if I'm wrong!))

I tried vegan version of local classic which is dumplings (more like a Italian gnocchi) with cheese and bacon - and it was very good. Bacon from tofu, a bit hard to chew but full of flavour

We had the kimchi goulash and the halusky, both were okay but very bland. As desser we had the pistachio raspberry roll which was also okay but very sweet, for our liking. It was nice to be able to try traditional Slovakian food tho!

Note: the menu is seasonal and changes every few months.
There is a separate lunch menu and came for dinner.
The drill is you order and get a buzzer. Go upstairs to get a table. Pick up food when ready downstairs to bring to your table.
I went with the most traditional Slovekia dish made vegan...the potato dumplings in a rich vegan cheese sauce with vegan bacon.
It was very tasty yet perhaps a bit heavy.
Pros: All vegan take on cuisine from Slovekia, Friendly service, Seasonal menu

Went there on a Thursday evening, when she unfortunately had only two kinds of halušky and teriyaki tofu. We took the sheep's cheese halušky and the tofu and found both very nice, especially with a beer and a strawberry juice from the place upstairs

We visited this place specifically for the Halušky and we were delighted. The food was very tasty and authentic, only the portion could be a bit bigger for us personally, but at least you will have room for other dishes. The place is a bit hidden and more difficult to find, but worth a visit.

This place is great. If you’re here and looking specifically to try something that’s region specific, they can do a Halusky after 3pm - two varieties pictured here, one with a vegan sheep’s cheese and one with a kraut base (strapacky). Both fantastic.
