Decent food but not great variety - Edit
We tried the soup, some traditional dish like spinach gnocchi and tikka masala curry. The price was really good and the food felt healthy and authentic.
Read moreGiving 4* because they only had four dishes (and no dessert). Good I read the other reviews before as it was indeed hard to find.

The teriyaki tofu tastes really good! The dumplings with vegan sheep cheese are good as well.

Local dumplings with lovely tofu - Edit
You will find Laf in the basement, just go in and down! The menu consisted of pea falafel, dumplings and more. I had the dumplings with sour cabbage, smoked tofu and cream. Tasty, both fermented and tangy taste

Fantastic tofu - Edit
A bit difficult to find as Google Maps took me to a different restaurant down the street. Made With Laf is in the basement of a food hall which contains other vendors. The atmosphere was nice and they have outdoor seating, and I was happy to see the LGBT flag flying, making me feel welcome. I ordered the buffalo tofu. Often I find with tofu dishes you get good flavour or good texture but rarely both, and this tofu had both. The rice and salad served with it were a great accompaniment. I also had the last slice of cake left, but made the mistake of not asking what it was (I assumed it was chocolate but it had a cherry/cinnamon/liquor taste I wasn’t fond of). Definitely worth a trip though - a cool place to eat.

Überraschung - Edit
Ein kleiner Teil, mehrerer kleinen Lokale in einem. Es ist etwas versteckt im Untergeschoß. Das suchen lohnt sich aber, den die Gerichte schmecken.

Great hidden spot for vegan halusky - Edit
It's a hidden spot in the basement of lokal unas but the food is great. Make sure to go after 3pm for the halusky. The vegan bacon is nice and smoky. While the vegan cheese isn't as thick nor salty, it still tastes excellent.
Read moreThey don't serve drinks so you'll need to order from Lokal unas, which is quite expensive. Best to bring your own.

Can't complain. Mix of traditional slovak food and others. It's healthy and tastes so good! Currently my favourite vegan option in Bratislava.

Confusing Arrangement - Edit
It is a bit confusing to find, since it is basically in the basement of another restaurant.
Read moreYou either have to go around the back and take the outdoors stairs down, or you have to go into Cafe Possinum through to the back and down the stairs.
If you want to eat at the location, instead of taking the food with you, there are only seats (at the Cafe Possinum) upstairs.
If you want something to drink, you can order it at the Cafe Possinum.
The food and drink was good.
Pros: vegan version of traditional dish
Cons: confusing to find

Good halušky - Edit
These were the first halušky I’ve ever had, and they were good, even though they were too oily for my liking. But the taste of these was the only redeeming quality this place had, for it was hard to find and confusing to navigate. The portions were small and didn’t feel worth the money. Perhaps if I felt like halušky again, I would visit; otherwise, I’d rather go for one of the amazing competitors nearby.

Really delicious traditional food. We got drinks from the other kiosk. It was really with it, just wish the portion was a bit bigger.

Soooo delicious and beautiful setting - Edit
This restaurant is part of a food court and is a few minutes walk from the train station. This worked out perfectly so we came here as soon as we arrived. The outdoor seating was a lovely setting and the general staff were really helpful explaining how it all worked.
Read moreWe arrived around 2.15 and based on some of the previous reviews ordered 3 main dishes to share between the two of us. You get given a little extra object that beeps and flashes when your food is ready. This ended up being quite a lot of food but I was really glad as it meant we got to try 3 Slovak dishes! The sheep cheese dumplings, cabbage dumplings and schnitzel with potato salad.
The food was incredible! So fresh and flavourful with my favourite being the sheep cheese dumplings.

Super tasty classic Slovak food! Amazing prices. Quite tricky to find but has a lovely outdoor area to sit in with a few other places to get drinks etc. from. Definitely would recommend, the pictures don’t do it justice!

A little hard to find takeaway in the basement. We had a typical Slovak vegan dish and a dish with fries and small schnitzels. Both were delicious.

vegan halušky - Edit
Un lloc curiós i interessant, una mica amagat. Poca varietat però recomano tastar-hi el plat típic de la zona (halušky) veganitzat.

Get bryndzove halusky if you can! - Edit
Smaller portions (mine was okay but my husband’s had just a few fries with the schnitzel) and the place is quite tricky to find but the food is really really good. I had the traditional Slovak dish, bryndzove halusky, and it was perfect.

Unlucky with menu - Edit
As the venue has a changing menu we were unlucky on the day we came that there were no traditional Slovakian meals on the menu.
Read moreWe ended up with Teriyaki tofu and a penne pasta. Both were fine but as it is a bit out of the way we were left a little disappointed to only have these as options.

Nice but hard to find - Edit
It is very hard to find and get how it works!
Read moreIt belongs to a group of restaurants (Lokal unas) and when you enter the backyard, you have to go downstairs and order at the kitchen. You can sit outside and collect your food when it’s ready.
What I appreciated was that they told us they could make a local dish. So we tried that and it was very nice. The portion was a little small though. Good for a lunch but not really for a dinner.
Loved the atmosphere in the backyard!
Pros: Atmosphere, Local food
Cons: Hard to find, Small portion

Great schnitzel - Edit
The schnitzel was really good and served as small but thick pieces. There wasn't any more coleslaw that usually comes with the dish, so it was left out. Wish we got extras chips instead as the serving size was on the small side. Otherwise, very tasty!
