Best coffee in town - Edit
Madal is probably my absolute favourite cafe in Budapest. Super friendly and knowledgable staff, tasty vegan treats (I usually go for the bon bons, all flavours are great), and definitely the best coffee! Before going vegan I used to love going to 3rd wave coffeeshops but I found that many of those struggle to make the milky drinks nice with plant based 'milks' - not an issue at all at Madal. I'd recommend asking for oatmilk, but they also offer rice (not personally a huge fan of that though).
They also have a bigger location more centrally, at Ferenciek tere.
Pros: best (vegan) coffee in town, friendly staff, vegan snacks

Vegan truffles - Edit
I tasted some vegan truffles (spirulina & mint, cardamom & almond, chocolate...) and they were all very good.
Friendly staff and nice African coffee. Perhaps too expensive according to Budapest standards.
Good to try if you are in the area!
Pros: Vegan options , Nice coffee , Friendly staff
Cons: Not cheap

Disappointed. - Edit
I went this cafe, after read all good reviews about here.
And it was so disappointed. I don't understand why this cafe is a vegan place. It's just a regular and nothing special. I checked some bread or cookies for vegetarian and there were one or two simple chocolate cookies and nothing else. And Staffs were unkind. So unpleasant experience.

Coffee Spot with some vegan treats - Edit
I'm not a coffee drinker, though the menu and smells were impressive. Madal came up on a vegan search for the area as they have bon bons and macaroons that are vegan. They were good and a nice little snack to take on the way to Margaret Island. They also serve croissants, muffins, etc (not vegan). really nice staff.

tasty coffees and bonbons in a nice atmosphere! - Edit
Me and my friend have visited 'Madal Café'(coffeeshop)twice.
The staff is very friendly. They serve tasty and lovely cappuccino and other nice coffees.
We also loved the raw vegan bonbons such as 'hungarian linzer' and 'matcha tea's bonbon'made by EletKonyha(LifeKitchen).

a very good cafe in the city centre - Edit
i dont drink coffee myself, but everyone i took to Madal cafe loved their coffee! they have an organic and rainforrest allowance selection also. They encourage you to drink the coffee without any sweetener to taste the real taste :) but in case you want some sweet taste in it you can choose from brown sugar, honey and xilitol also. You can get your coffee with a "vegan mylk" also (not sure what is it now, soya or ricemilk). There is not much food selection, but it is safely vegetarian as the owner is vegetarian also. They have some raw vegan salty and sweet biscuits, raw bonbons and chocolate selection which is amazingly good wiht the coffee! I usually have one of their tees as they have quite a few of them!
Pros: relaxing, nice vibe, excellent coffee, very friendly staff
