Actually one of the better Mad Monkeys

Exact same menu as Koh Rong. Really enjoyed the monkey power smoothie bowl. The Americano coffee is also really nice

Pros: Clearly labelled vegan options, Lots of options , Good vibes

Good for a hostel!

Currently the location is slightly off: have contacted HC about the inconsistency. Use Google Maps.

Ate here a few times during my stay, including a choco smoothie bowl for breakfast. No pics of this but it was pretty big with a good creamy choco base, some nuts, pineapple, dragonfruit. Had fried rice as part of the included lunch in the tour the hostel runs, initially it was served with egg even though I specified vegan, so they went and made some more. Dessert was mango sticky rice, tasty but a very small portion.

Also had the family dinner, which said it had vegan options. I asked about the curry and whether it was cooked with coconut milk or dairy, we came to a conclusion it was coconut milk but if you have any allergies this might be a bit more iffy! I could also eat the rice and mango salad, and fruit platter for dessert so it was worth it.

Also had beans on toast for breakfast with a side of hash browns, pretty tasty and affordable and the tofu bean burger for lunch, served with chips. This was also fantastic.

Some really good options here for a vegan, just be careful as the communication about veganism and vegetarianism is harder when it’s not specifically a vegan place and the locals don’t always know the difference.
