Palm Springs - Stellar Service and a Relaxed Vibe

Since I cannot rate a non-vegan restaurant 5 stars, 3 starts is still a great rating from me.

Lulu's has become one of our go-to spot whenever we have guests in town, and for good reason. Not only does it boast a fantastic atmosphere, but it also caters to vegans with a dedicated menu. I highly recommend making reservations in advance to secure your spot.

Starting off with the appetizers, we opted for the hummus celery sticks, carrots, and crisp focaccia chips. While decent, they didn't quite stand out as must-have items. They served their purpose as light starters, but I wouldn't necessarily rave about them.

Moving on to the main course, we tried the SPAGHETTI POMODORO in a light tomato, basil, and garlic sauce, as well as the LINGUINE CHECCA with diced tomatoes and basil. Both pasta dishes were remarkably similar in flavor, with the primary distinction lying in the pasta itself. While the flavors were delightful, offering a comforting blend of tomato, basil, and garlic, we couldn't help but wish for a bit more diversity between the two dishes.

What truly elevated our experience at Lulu's was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Coupled with the relaxed Palm Springs atmosphere, it made for a memorable evening.

Overall, Lulu's is a solid choice for vegans and non-vegans alike, offering a pleasant dining experience with a welcoming ambiance and stellar service. While some dishes may not leave a lasting impression, the overall experience is certainly worth a visit, especially if you find yourself in Palm Springs.

Pros: great location , incredible service, vegan menu

Would never eat here again

The only reason we decided to eat at Lulus was because of their great patio and that they had a separate vegan and GF menu. I thought the food was terrible (even the non vegan couple we were chatting with commented about how bad the food was). The service wasn’t good either. Even though the salad was supposed to be vegan by omitting the wontons they added wontons (we told the waiter we were vegan multiple times when placing order). The cheese-less pizza I had was pathetic (it looked as bad as it tasted). My spouse said the stuffed acorn squash was ok but needed seasoning and more quinoa. If you are going for drinks then the patio is great for people watching but I would never order food from this restaurant again. Their attempt at accommodating vegans has a long was to go.

Pros: Patio, Located downtown

Cons: Food did not look or taste good, Service isn’t good , Vegan and GF options are not very good

Terrible Food

They claim they have a vegan menu but the food is awful. Only a few items with no flavor. Do not go there……

Worst meal of my life — do not go!

This restaurant is really cool looking and they have a vegan menu, which wants me to like it. However, the food was so bland and awful. My girlfriend and I started with a minestrone soup that had no beans or pasta in it.... so it was really just a vegetable tomato soup. It only got worse from there. We ordered a burger and the acorn squash with quinoa. The burger was just a beyond burger with tomato and lettuce, literally no sauce or condiment and they didn't bring anything to our table and the waiter didn't check on us. The squash was inedible. There was no seasoning on it at all and even adding salt we couldn't eat it. We sent it back and we have both never ever done that in our lives. We got some sort of pasta instead, which was edible, but awful as well. The service was just like the food. Don't go here.

Pros: Cool looking restaurant, drinks were good

Cons: the food is the worst you'll have in your life, service is below average, expensive

Vegan options, ok food

Look any restaurant that gives me a vegan menu, I'm pretty happy. But basically the choices end up being pasta more than anything else. Although the acorn squash appetizer with quinoa was really good. The pasta checcca otje other hand... Meh.. but there's good people watching, there's good drinks. It could be worse

Pros: Vegan options, Super friendly waiter

Cons: Food is.. Meh

Not worth it.

Touts a vegan menu but the food is awful. Would rather a place wouldn’t even bother if they don’t put the effort into quality. I had the avocado squash and it smelled and tasted mealy, as if it had sat out all day and they just zapped it in the microwave. 100000% not worth the cost.

Solid vegan options

Like others have said, only a few vegan options but given the size and general atmosphere of the place, I would have expected less. Food was really tasty, staff was super friendly and conscientious about dietary restrictions

Lovely Place, Lacking Options

I do like the vibe in Lulu's and have been quite a few times on trips to PS over the years. I loved the impossible burger, but wished they had vegan cheese and vegan mayo. I didn't realise until afterwards that they had a separate menu, but I think they could improve their options anyway.

Pros: Reasonable options in a literal vegan desert, Great friendly place

Cons: Basic vegan options

Good vegan options

Lulu California Bistro has a fun, busy vibe. They have a special vegan menu with a decent selection including a few pasta dishes and some creative dishes like quinoa stuffed acorn squash. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating which adds to the Palm Springs experience.
