only has three dishes on the menu. I tried the hangover menu, which is roasted potatoes with a bagel with bacon, scrambled eggs and cheese. Bagel was overall okay (expensive for what it is though) and the potatoes were nicely made although absolutely drowning in oil. if it was cheaper, I would consider coming back, but it is definitely not worth 15euro (unless you a desperate for a simple hangover dish)

Read moreWe are a little coffeeshop not a restaurant and that is why there is « only » 3 options for brunches on the week end. Along side a sandwich, a quiche, soup, multiple cakes, cookies, pastries. The menu changes every week (seasons for the brunches) and absolutely everything is homemade.

We were too late for the brunch but had tofu quiche, a sub and two kinds of chocolate cake/pie with chai latte. The selection wasn’t that big but everything was tasty and the dessert servings huge! The service was quick and friendly, would love to go back to experience the whole brunch.

I went here a few times now, and I love the food, the drinks and the space. I like how they take a stand for things I support (lgbtq+, welcoming refugees, not being racist, fascist or rude, and being vegan). I was here with my parents in law, and my spouse, and everyone regardless of age just loved their cakes, their ambiance and vibed. I like how there are always dogs and pets there. I will be going there many more times with friends and family. I'm just very happy when going there. I think it's great that everyone working there seems really nice and happy. I wish they were open later, but it's ok.

I’ve been trying different items from the menu on my two visits. Chai latte is super tasty. Savoury options are good (soup, sandwich) but can we talk about the cakes!? I’ve had a pear, chocolate and almond pie today and this was the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to be able to go and enjoy the atmosphere there. Until then, I’ll keep on ordering take away. 🖤🙏🏻

The best vegan café in Brussels - Edit
Lucifer lives is hand down my favourite café in Brussels. Their food is 100% vegan and so delicious! They offer amazing brunch options, hot drinks and cakes. They are the most outspoken café in Brussels when it comes to taking a stance against racism, sexism, LBTQIA+ phobia and speciesism and create a safe space where everyone is welcome!

I had one of the best vegan cakes ever here. There were lots of options for food and for drinks at a very reasonable price and the staff were really friendly. It's everything you could wish for in a place like this. Definitely worth making time for when you're in Brussels

Wonderful addition to the Brussels' vegan 'scene' - Edit
Since we went into lockdown I haven't had a sit-down meal or snack. I take out because I feel safer that way. So that was the plan today. However, the place felt safe enough to risk it since the rules were observed.
Read moreI sat down in a plush armchair, not far from the Meat Is Murder album cover on the wall (I am a massive fan), and although I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I enjoyed my piece of layer cake with peanut butter by Buddy Buddy immensely. Price/quality was good as well, which isn't often the case elsewhere here in Brussels when you look at what's on offer for vegans.
Service was friendly and really fast.
If they were in my neighbourhood I'd be a regular.
