One of the better Loving Huts - Edit
Got here just before they closed. They staff was friendly and spoke some English. I have been to a number of Loving Huts and this one was exceptional. All of our dishes were good and the vegan cakes were awesome!

Good curry, extensive menu - Edit
I had a great experience here overall. It was my last meal in Taipei before leaving for the airport. From the moment I walked in, the woman in the front of the house was very friendly. She welcomed me with a big smile and gave me a quick intro to the restaurant. She then left me to peruse the menu at my leisure without any pressure to order quickly. The menu is fully bilingual, and it’s very specific about what’s included in each dish, such as garlic and onions, and the spice level. It indicates, too, when ingredients can be omitted and when the spice level can be adjusted up or down. I took my time reading through the menu and then ordered at the front counter.
Read moreI decided on the rendang curry with rice. The serving size was perfect before the start of a long trip home to the US. I left satisfied but not bloated. The curry was prepared with various mushrooms to substitute for beef, and it came with a big heap of rice, a small side of papaya salad, and a few raw/lightly cooked veggies as garnish. On the food alone, I’d probably give the restaurant three stars. Everything was prepared well and presented nicely. The curry could have been stronger whether in flavor or in spice. I did finish it all, and the warmth I felt eating there elevated the experience to four stars. There’s lots more to explore on the menu. I’d wanna come back and try more dishes. I’d also visit other locations when I get a chance.

Always has decent local food - Edit
I like to stop by Loving Hut when traveling because they always have veganized local food at affordable prices. This location was no exception. I had the omelette rice with a nice egg and chopped ham and veggies. The passion fruit soy milk smoothie was very good.

Good food - Edit
I was never a big fan of Loving Hut (I once went to one and found the food very boring so never went back). My partner loves them so we decided to pay a visit. Their menu was much more extensive than what we saw online, and they had SO many options. For Taiwan standards, prices are a bit high and none of the meals are below 270 NT$. But the quality is very good and they have all kinds of amazing meat and fish replacements. Their milkshake was outstanding too. You can buy a lot of their products for home, they sees to have some amazing stuff!
Read moreWe tried:
- vegan rice omelette, amazingly delicious and tastes quite eggy
- Taiwanese scallion soup, comes with several types of meat replacements so nice to try. Good soup with nice broth, but VERY BIG portion.
Overall good experience, only downside is that it’s quite expensive and I didn’t find much local/special to try. Quite some western dishes too.

Very cozy - Edit
I really liked the quiet and peaceful ambiance of the restaurant. The menu is in English, and the lady at the counter was also speaking English. You sit first and then order at the counter. I chose the tomato stew and it was really good. There is even a terrace if you want to eat outdoors. Bonus for the cute dog of the restaurant. Very solo-travel friendly.

Good quality - Edit
Visit this place sometimes. Pricey in comparison with another vegetarian/vegan places around, but the food here is very delicious, contains vegetables. Portions are big. I mostly order noodle soups. Don't recommend to order bibimbap, it's drier than should be

Claypot sets are good - Edit
Chose the Kung Pao Mushroom Claypot set that comes with rice and soup and was worth it, some other meals on the menu seem too expensive for what they are though. Clean and spacious inside, walk-in was fine but a few tables were reserved already so maybe reserve at busy times. They have Violife etc if you want to buy some vegan groceries.

Great variety of vegan food - Edit
Loving Hut is always a reliable vegan option around the world. We were excited to visit this branch and found it to have a great range of options including Western and Asian food. Our kids enjoyed the omelette rice, pizza, pasta and icecream! I loved the Asian options we tried and the chocolate cake. There's also a small shop selling packaged foods and some hats.

Feel safe - Edit
The Laksa is my recommendation if you prefer strongly flavored dishes. It is a little bit hot, but extremely fragrant and creamy.
Read moreYou can have the option of adding protein, such as organic tofu or vegan mock meat (made in their own factory) or handmade fried tofu balls.
I feel quite safe eating here during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis because it is spacecy enough for social distancing.

Fun and interesting flavors! - Edit
I am a huge supporter of the Loving Hut franchise, and this location didn’t disappoint. I tried a spicy tofu dish (I can’t remember the technical name) and also got a bean curd skewer. Both were quite yummy (though next time I’ll get the tofu dish without cilantro). There are so many options for all flavor palettes though! I ate so well and only spent 11 USD on everything. I would definitely recommend this place.

If you are fed up with something so-called ”fake meat or vegan meat”, try tofu burger in Loving Hut. My favourite dish. Yummy! Crispy tofu + the black paper sauce = perfect burger. Sending 5 stars to the idea maker :)
