Are the plates getting bigger or the portions getting smaller?

We frequent the Lounge restaurants fairly regularly as they are some of the few places where we know we can get a good range of vegan choices no matter what town we are in.
However, we have noticed of late that portion sizes seem to have shrunk slightly. Either that or they are presenting the food on larger plates. My partner recently had the Beyond Cheeseburger with fries (which are served in a cup) and it looked very lonely on the plate. Some salad garnish perhaps? Anything to make it feel like you are getting value for money.
Having said that, I went for the Wan Chai Fried Rice bowl which, although didn't look particularly big was actually quite filling and tasty.
I ordered a side of tenderstem broccoli with chilli and garlic which was a huge disappointment; a few shoots of tepid, limp broccoli with some chilli slices and no hint of garlic. Won't choose that again.
We had our favourite, the carrot cake, to finish with. Delicious as always but again one had the distinct impression the slices were smaller than before.
I suspect that restaurant chains are feeling the pinch and are making savings wherever they can.

24/08/22 Had the vegan curry. Great flavour and rice was perfect. Portion size felt a little on the small side. Flatbread side dish was good value for money; much larger than I was expecting. My partner had her usual Beyond cheese burger. No complaints though I feel the accompaniments are on the small side. Disappointed that no carrot cake was available.

Cons: Can get noisy because of low ceiling, Portions feel distinctly smaller
