I came after trying Liu Lin and this did not disappoint. Waitress was very welcoming and explained everything to us. We ordered a mix of a bao, wontons and miso and it was delicious!!!!! Top notch - highly recommend

Loved the food here. Everything we had was delicious. Not cheap but worth the money we thought. Server was friendly - picked up we were English straight away and made us welcome! Good relaxed atmosphere too. Would definitely go back

Ich habe ein bao bestellt und Teigtaschen. Es war nichts besonderes. Ich hätte mir geschmacklich mehr erwartet. Das bao war kalt. Diese lemoniade für 5 Euro war einfache Zuckerwasser. Furchtbar.

I’ve eaten there once and ordered delivery twice — the baos are delicious, and the mix of flavors is always really interesting! Special mention for the loaded fries, which are divine. 😊 I haven’t had the chance to try the terrace yet, but the place is really nice! That said, the menu is quite pricey.

I was wondering if the rave reviews could be true. They were! A little pricey, but so very tasty. I had the dumplings and an eggplant bao bun, and dessert. It was more than enough, but I enjoyed every morsel.

On our way to another restaurant, we stumbled upon Lil Bao (which happens to sound like my hometown of Bilbao, creating some confusion when ordering). Not only was the place fully vegan, it also had excellent reviews here on HappyCow. In other words, this was set to be a memorable meal. Our waitress also emphasised that the food is homemade, and so we really were looking forward to it all. Once the items were finally delivered, we couldn't help but feel that.. yes, there was nothing wrong with them, but they were only slightly above average. Also, seeing somewhat steep prices automatically makes you feel they must be truly great.. and once again, it wasn't the case at all. For me eating bao is almost like eating chocolate, I will be sold every time. Not here though. Hopefully Lil Bao will gradually improve recipes and/or business idea in order to establish itself as a solid option in Brussels. For now, our experience remains sadly a different one.

Lil Bao completely exceeded my expectations! The vegan bao buns were absolutely delicious – soft, flavorful, and filled with creative, well-balanced ingredients. You can tell a lot of care goes into every detail, from the food to the service. To feel full, you’ll probably want to order about 2–3 baos and a side dish – which is actually perfect, because it gives you the chance to try lots of different flavors.

I like bao buns, so I could certainly not resist going to Lil Bao when I found myself in Brussels. My partner and I shared four different buns and they were all good but I would only order one or two of them again (my partner loved all of them though!). We also had dim sums and smacked cucumbers - both were good but I had better elsewhere.

This was a great spot with some really fresh and fun dishes. The menu was reasonably sized but perhaps a touch pricey. Service was good and food was delicious. On the whole a solid choice, with a very colourful restaurant setting!

A must go if you love bao's - Edit
The food was delicious. The 2 kids (6 and 7) loved al of it! You can change your dish with ease. Like ommit the onions etc. The service was quick and the staff very very friendly. We would recommend and if you love bao's/asian food, this is a must go!

It was one of our favorite restaurants in Brussels. We ordered the "Bao Hercules" as a starter, and we were surprised at how wonderful it was. Of the main courses, we ordered the "Miso Love" and the "That's Nuts", both of which were delicious. The waitresses spoke very good English and were very friendly, providing excellent service even though the restaurant was full. We enjoyed the experience.

Read moreWe ordered the Hot Chick, the Rambāo, and the Deep Sea Baby. The Rambāo was deeply flavourful, if you miss hamburgers this is the bāo for you. The Deep Sea Baby had a crunch-to-chew ratio that made me audibly moan. But the star of the show was The Hot Chick, the fried chicky was unreal - hands down the best vegan chicken we've ever had!
The staff were so sweet and friendly, too! This place is such a gem and a must-visit when in Brussels!
