I like bao buns, so I could certainly not resist going to Lil Bao when I found myself in Brussels. My partner and I shared four different buns and they were all good but I would only order one or two of them again (my partner loved all of them though!). We also had dim sums and smacked cucumbers - both were good but I had better elsewhere.

I like the concept of ordering via QR code and seeing pictures of the available dishes while having the option to consult a waiter/waitress if there are any questions. The food is great! My partner and I choose to order four bao buns and two side dishes and share everything, which was recommended to us. We might have even ordered one less boa bun or side dish as they were quite filling, but I’m happy to not have missed out on anything.

We had a selection of bao, spring rolls, dim sims, prawn crackers and pickled cucumbers. Every thing had so much flavour and was delicious! Staff were friendly and restaurant was obviously popular.

I loved the jack fruit boa. The bread is so fluffy! I also shared the "calamares" with a wasabi mayo, which tasted nicely as well. I need to go back to try more.

I went there for diner after few years absence and it is still as tasty, creative and amazing as it was when it opened. We had several starters to share (dumplings, calamares, satay) then main courses (noodle soup and vegetables curry), everything was really good. Clearly among best vegan spots in Brussels if you like Taiwanese cuisine and if you don’t know it yet, it really worths a try.

Read moreI’m not usually a bao person, but I was pleasantly surprised. The KFC style one was really tasty, and the calamari were the BEST I’ve ever had. Really convincing. We also had the homemade cocktail and mocktail and were not disappointed.

Lil Bao is great! The staff are super friendly and fast, even when the restaurant is busy. The restaurant itself is really cute and I love the atmosphere - the aesthetic is cool. And I thought the prices were reasonable.
Read moreMost importantly, we loved everything we ordered. Our favorite was the "seafood" bao, but we loved the "chicken" and jackfruit ones we tried, and the vegan calamari rings. If I lived in Brussels, I would be a regular!

Everything about this place is gorgeous - the food, the staff and the menu. I had the auberginius bao and really liked it. But the highlight was the steamed mochi with coconut and sesame. Never had a better mochi before! Try the ginger tea, there is grated ginger inside, also a real treat.

We had four different bao: an eggplant one, jackfruit, meaty one and a chicken one. All of them were so diverse and so tasty. Can’t believe it. The meaty one and chicken one tasted like a burger in the most nostalgic way.

Great Vegan Food - Edit
My wife and I had dinner here while visiting Brussels. It is located approximately a 15 minute walk from the Grand Place. We were lucky that it wasn't very busy when we got there and were quickly seated. The staff is really friendly (and spoke great English!). We ordered the spring rolls and wontons for starters and the hot chick and rambao for our mains. All of them were really tasty! My wife enjoyed the spring rolls so much she had a second order of them! To top it off, we shared the chocolate mousse and Da Baomb. Both were delicious as well! By the time we left, almost all of the tables were full so it is definitely popular! Next time we're in Brussels, we'll definitely be back!

Can't complain about anything. The place is nice, the service is good and both baos I tried were really good! I recommend the Rambao because I really liked its pea protein fake meat. It's kinda expensive but that's what I expected in Brussels tbh

Very friendly staff, tourist friendly! Easy to order/pay. Chill open kitchen. We got 4 bao, two sides, two drinks and were plenty full. Price is similar to what we pay in the states so no sticker shock.
