This bakery has an overwhelming number of options and even a few savoury snacks. Their baked goods are mainly Dutch classics, but veganized. They also have a stamp card (10 stamps, 1 stamp per visit) that gives you a free pastry when it’s full.
Read moreI love their tompouce, pecan roll, almond roll, lemon merengue tartelette, hazelnut tartelette, American-style cookies (chewy and not too sweet), stroopkoeken (with a hint of apple), koggetjes/kletsmajoren and spritsen.
They also offer tasty seasonal specials, like amandelstaaf, gevulde speculaas and kerst-/paasstol.
I found their carrot cake a bit too sweet and too firm. The marzipan pie was creamy, but also too sweet.

Read moreLente Vegan Patisserie is echt een walhalla voor liefhebbers van plantaardig gebak. Ik nam de tompouce en die was werkelijk geweldig, super romig en perfect in balans. We kochten ook koekjes en een vegan banketstaaf om mee te nemen, allebei net zo heerlijk. Daarnaast was de verkoper ontzettend vriendelijk, wat het bezoek extra prettig maakte.
Absolute aanrader als je in Gouda bent !

Wie lecker sind hier bitte die kleinen Kuchen der Lente Patisserie? Alles handgemacht, super lecker und nicht teuer. Der Kaffee und die Schokoladen sind auch lecker. Wir kommen wieder.

I come here once or twice a month, it is always so delicious! They have a few "standard" items, like the tompouce (my favorite!), but also a lot of new items every time I'm there. I am so happy that everything is vegan, can't go home empty handed.

So glad I found this place, it has many typical Dutch foods (spritsen, tom pouce, weespermoppen) completely veganized. Amazing! Everything I tried from here was delicious. Will be back for sure.

Such a cute place! Wanted to check out Lente immediately after I heard of it's opening. The pastries looked so colourful and delicately made that I couldn't believe everything was vegan when I entered. I told the sweet lady at the counter that I was happy that I could literally choose everything and we agreed that it was nice to not be able to choose for a change. I took a matcha cookie for the go and a brownie plus a fruity custard kind of cake to share with my girlfriend at home. All was amazing, will definitely return here more often for a celebration or just a snack :)

Na jaren eindelijk weer een tompouce gegeten en het was net zo lekker als ik hoopte! De anderen in mijn gezelschap waren ook enthousiast over de gebakjes, ook de niet-vegans. Vegan gebakjes zie ik niet zo vaak, meestal zijn het taartpunten, dus echt een aanvulling deze bakkerij. Ik kom zeker nog eens terug!

Heel gezellige sfeer, veel verschillende producten. Heerlijk gebak! Absolute aanrader! Tip: je kunt je gebakje meenemen en opeten bij bakkerij Herfst (2 minuten lopen). Daar bestel je wat te drinken en doen ze je gebakje gezellig voor je op een bordje. De thee was daar trouwens uitzonderlijk lekker en in een fijn groot glas.

Read moreApparently Lente is popular since they were almost sold out of their fresh cakes and pies before 2 PM. I ordered a pistachio tartlet and a Hazelnut tartlet to go and a pack of cinnamon madeleines and cinnamon sticks. Sadly they don't have sit-in options but upon asking they told me I could go to their sister (non-vegan) bakery "Herfst" around the corner and use their sit-in options which was very nice because I still needed to eat some lunch and I had been carrying a backpack and 3 tote-bags full of cookies with me for the main part of the day.
Ordered a tea which was nice though I had preferred a cappuccino but sadly Herfst didn't have any plant-based milks (or anything plant based apparently).
I would think it might be a good idea for Herfst to start carrying at least one plant-based milk for the customers that come from Lente (and other people who prefer a non-animal-based milk in their cappuccino etc.).
Ate the Pistachio tartlet on the terrace of Herfst which tasted just like I remember birthday pastries to taste when I was younger, where you'd sit in a circle eating pastries and having to keep 2 separate conversations going with your neighbour from either side and a third conversation with your uncle across the room... all at the same time ;)
Took the Hazelnut tartlet home with me and ate the next day. Stayed good and was delicious as well! Both the madeleines and the cinnamon sticks were very nice too.
When I'm in Gouda again I will definitely return to buy some more!
Pros: Fully vegan! Friendly staff. , Lots of choices from cookies to cakes to tarts etc
Cons: No sit-in. , Herfst not carrying any plant-based milks.

Large selection of cookies, muffins and cakes. They all taste so good!!! It's almost impossible to distinguish them from their non-vegan counterparts. Highly recommend!
