I went by this fully vegan bakery today and was welcomed by the owner, Vito, who offered me a cookie and told me his whole story. he’s been vegan for 14 years while leccornie, for the past 4 years, has been nominated no #2 best bakery in the whole city of Milan, and for a reason! his pastries are beautiful, tasty and delicate. not too sweet. they also make cannoli on the weekends apparently. definitely recommend going there and talking 1-1 with Vito! such a lovely person.

Went there in the morning to get some pastries. First, they opened about 45 minutes later than advertised.
Read moreThe pastries themselves were fine, even though nothing spectacular. Also, they were rather made for taking home, since the tiramisu was still frozen and needed to defreeze for quite a while. In addition to that, the place is also on the rather expensive side.
All in all a rather disappointing experience.

The gentleman who served us was so lovely! he described how items were made, showed us ingredients and gave us treats to try (on the house) everything we tried was tasty but I would recommend the chocolate filled with pistachio cream!

Try to come early, in the afternoon a lot was selled out (which made me really happy for the owner, who is such a nice guy). We had a language barrier but we managed quite well, and everything was just delicious. My fav was the white chocolate pistacio cone.

Il proprietario ama parlare col cliente e mostrarti quanta passione mette nel suo lavoro! A quanto pare anche molti onnivori si servono lì, a riprova che i loro pasticcini non sono da meno a nessuno!

This is a complete vegan pastry. They have a good selection of small and normal dimensions. For me everything was tasty. It is a take away mainly and they don't have coffee. Since it is Easter I also bought a "colomba " typical sweet from this period. I paid 48 euro. I don't know the details price but I found a bit for 3 small pastries and 1 colomba. The owner told me that cannoli was a present and he also made me taste the colomba.

I crossed the city by bus, tram and train to sample some of Leccornie's pastries, having first checked the opening times on google and facebook and Happy Cow.
Read moreImagine my disappointment to find the shutters down. The bakery next door could not tell me if it is closed permenantly or not.
It seems to be prevalent amongst vegan restaurants and businesses to work erratic hours and close on random days and hours. Very disappointing.
