Lovely deli, limited vegan options but does have wholesome fresh salads - Edit
Wonderful cafe! It’s split into two halves (deli and restaurant) - but you access each part via the outside. I visited the one of the left with a deli section as it felt more like a relaxed cafe.
Read moreThey serve good food including salads which were very yummy and wholesome. I only wished there were more vegan options to go with it. I also had an almond croissant which was huge, very sweet but lovely - had to take some back home with me!
They also sell products in this side, again wholesome foods, locally produced items, and you can choose things to have a hamper made up.
The toilet is in the right hand restaurant side, so does mean going outside to access it and there was not any baby change facilities.
But it’s in a great location for exploring Dawlish - don’t forget to go and see the black swans!

Pros: Wholesome yummy salads, Local and varied products for sale in the shop are, Option for relaxed cafe or a restaurant next door
Cons: It’s not clear what is vegan - you have to ask, Limited vegan options , Have to go outside to access the toilet

Le Cygnerie/Cygne - Edit
Vegan sausage roll and various salad options available from the deli. The cafe, Le Cygne, doesn’t have a huge amount of vegan options but there are some things. Really friendly staff.

A pleasant surprise - Edit
Le Cygnerie has opened next door to Le Cygne. It is a deli and cafe and does not need a booking, (I think the bistro next door does). The coffees we had were excellent and they had several vegan cakes to choose from. We had already eaten lunch, but could easily have eaten there as they had several delicious looking salads and other vegan savouries available. You have to ask, as most of the vegan items were not labelled as such. The staff were very hospitable and the atmosphere was relaxed. This will be my first choice for food and coffee in Dawlish from now on.
